West Ham United 1 Tottenham Hotspur 1

Green machine: the West Ham goalkeeper saved a last-minute penalty from Jermain Defoe
Goalkeeper Robert Green saved an injury-time penalty from Jermain Defoe to ensure West Ham earned a point in a thrilling clash at Upton Park.
Tottenham centre-half Michael Dawson had hauled Spurs level with a header in the 66th minute after a first-half blunder by Younes Kaboul had allowed Carlton Cole to open the scoring for the Hammers.
But former West Ham striker Defoe earned a controversial penalty when he was brought down by Lucas Neill in stoppage time but the Spurs striker's spot-kick was kept out by Green.

Fulham 2 B4st4rd Rovers 2

Stephen Warnock rescued a point for B4st4rds with a late equaliser that keeps the pressure on Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez.
A dismal first half was quickly forgotten after the interval as the rivals produced a pulsating 45 minutes that accounted for all four goals.
Danny Murphy fired Fulham into the lead from the spot - Ryan Nelsen was at fault for the penalty - but Emerton responded in emphatic fashion.
A well-worked move saw Diomansy Kamara nudge the Cottagers ahead for a second time but once again Sanchez's side were undone by their slack defending.
The impressive Warnock was the beneficiary this time, grabbing a share of the spoils with a routine strike 12 minutes from time.

Derby biggest ever home underdogs

Postby johntheclaret » Mon Nov 26, 2007 5:29 am

Mismatch of the day
Odds are against Prem strugglers

Derby County are the Premier League's biggest home underdogs EVER - after bookies priced them at a stunning 14-1 to win yesterday's Pride Park clash with Chelsea.
The rock-bottom Rams, spanked 5-0 by West Ham last time out, were up against a side which scored 10 in just two games last month.

On a weekend of mismatches, Wigan, who will not install Steve Bruce as manager until Monday, were 22-1 to shock leaders Arsenal at the Emirates while Bolton were 8-1 to beat Manchester United at the Reebok Stadium.

Bet there weren't many outside of Bolton that took those odds

West Brom 0 Wolves 0

Wayne Hennessey's late penalty save earned Wolves a share of the spoils as they held Coca-Cola Championship rivals West Brom to a point in a fiercely contested Black Country derby at the Hawthorns.
The Wanderers goalkeeper dived low to his right in the 84th minute to deny Zoltan Gera from the spot to cap a stunning performance after Neill Collins had pulled Baggies substitute Craig Beattie's shirt inside the area.

WBA go 2nd.

Also League 1 Bottom side Cheltenham Town beat Leeds 1 - 0. This is Leeds 2nd successive defeat after losing 1 - 0 to Hereford in the FA Cup.

3 big clubs sitting bottom of the CCC there JTC.
Norwich up in the Premiership not too long ago. Preston have been in the playoffs and looking for promotion the past few seasons and QPR, a well known club going nowhere...
Watford are looking good as are Charlton just sitting there waiting to pounce...

Watford stumbled SJABC. Lost to Barnsley last time out and now Burnley this time.

Clarets were outstanding. Owen Coyle might be making a difference. Joey Gudjohnnson couldn't even get a shirt before Cotterill left, now played two out of two since Coyle took over and has been outstanding in both.

Off to see the b4st4rds play Villa tomorrow as a corporate guest of the bank. Guess who I'll be cheering. Come on you Villans  (Only going cos they are Claret and Blue)

Interesting to see how the RAFA campaign goes against Porto.
Apparently over 5000 supporters are marching from a local to the ground in support of the manager, organised by the Reclaim the Kop group.

I start at 6.00am this morning, the same time as coverage of the game hits SBS so hopefully I won't be busy for 2 hours...
Problem is I have to listen to Craig Foster :finga:
Give me Tony Palumbo any day...

How much does Fozzy give ya the SHlTS??? Worth it though ... Entertaining game which was killed off in junk time, boys played well for decent patches throughout, but also average for quite a bit of the game - Porto play good counter football.

Noticed that despite being level on points and ahead on goal difference, commentators said we need to win in Marseille next week - Did they get it wrong, or does a tie-breaker come down to head to head results?

CP - Marseille are above us despite goal difference because they won at Anfield, so yeah it's a head to head thing.

Foster's special comments........eeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggghhhhhhhh

Hopeless..
