There was an article in Sundays Guardian showing Chavski's first and second 11's. Their second eleven is easily the fifth best side in the league, possibly better than the gooners.

We did get excellent coin for Keane, but we're holding off on a replacement as we'll be able to buy him back in Jan for about 1/4 of we you paid for him

Yep, the thing that shits me is that he couldn't score for us against PSV to put us through to the last 8 of the UEFA Cup, but is happy to bang one in against them for the Scousers.

It's going to be hard for us to make it a good deal unless we manage to pull ourselves out of the relegation zone before January. Which quality players are going to want to come to a club in a relegation dogfight?

Adams named Pompey boss

New Portsmouth manager Tony Adams admits he is taking a risk in succeeding Harry Redknapp at Fratton Park.
The ex-Arsenal and England captain served as Redknapp's assistant and has now been elevated to the Fratton Park hot-seat following his former boss' weekend move to Tottenham.

Adams has previously spent an unsuccessful year in charge of Wycombe, but the 42-year-old has suitably impressed at Pompey to be handed his first managerial job in the Premier League on a two-and-a-half year contract.

And the former centre-back, who is understood to have pipped the likes of Avram Grant and Sam Allardyce to the role, admits he did not want to see anybody else appointed as a replacement for Redknapp, who guided the club to FA Cup glory last season.

"It is fantastic, I'm very honoured," Adams - who joined Pompey in 2006 - told a press conference shown live on Sky Sports News. "It is a great opportunity.

Bentley's opener for Spurs was sensational. Jenas's 3rd for Spurs wasa brilliant. This was an advert for the EPL, and what an advert it was. Thrilling game to watch, atmosphere was great and 8 goals.

Cloud 9 was a loooooooong way back cous!!! I was on could 9 after our Carling Cup, then our 4-4 v Chavski last season, but this was MAGIC.

David Bentley's goal was out of this world. Beckham-esque even. Never have I been in a crowd that went so mental than after that goal.

I have to say WHAT THE **** WAS THE ******* REFEREE DOING in the last 30 mins of the first half and the first 15 mins of the second? "YOU'VE ONLY GOT 12 MEN, YOU'VE ONLY GOT 12 MEN......12 MEN!!! FFS their first goal should never have been. That was NOT, NEVER, EVER IN A BILLION YEARS a free kick which produced the corner leading to the goal. Disgraceful.

Then going on to book 4 of our players. Muppet.

Anyhoo, after looking dead and buried, Spurs showed bottle to come from nowhere to snatch a point. With those Gooner wankers singing "you'll never play here again" and "that is why you're going down" we looked dead and buried at 4-2. The terraces were emptying quicker than my 5 pre-match pints (whole other story, but sheeeeeez ), and enter Jenas with a magnificent captains goal, calmly slotted into the top corner with a curling effort from his left boot. I was right behind it, and it is the reason people persist with Jenas. How he run around for 87 minutes and do f-all (OK bit of an exaggeration) then pull that out is beyond me.

Then MOM Super Luca Modric pulling a rabbit out of the bag with a beatiful passage of play and ping on goal for Lennon to follow up. 16 million squid.......WELL SPENT!!!

I stayed back after the game (with the few Yids that were left ) and sung my voice off "Yid Army, Yid Army" and "Harry Redknapp's Blue & White Aaaaarmy". Felt so bloody good!

What an amazing night. Nights like tonight make all the shit that goes with being a Spurs fan well worth it.

First 15 mins Spurs were ALL over the Gooners, only to be stepped all over by the Gooners 12th man the ref. Disgrcefull effort.

I think the last 10 minutes definitely belonged to the Gooners too, they were outstanding and showed the bottle required to win a title, UCL, FA Cup............

What a drama getting a ticket tonight. I got a hot tip to head to a pub called the Dolphin in Kings Cross as there may be a couple of spare 'away' end tickets floating around. Coming out of the station, I didn't need my map, because all that could be heard was Yids singing the Adebayor song (and not the song about giving him the ball!). All this despite the pub being hidden 2 blocks back!

After wading through the monester police presence, I squeezed into the front bar and all I can say is bugger me, it was an experience. It took 2 pints just to muster up the balls to speak to one of these nut jobs. I can honestly say that even despite being a Yid, I was seriously scared for my safety. I poured down a couple of pints and checked everyone out to see who was most likely. The bloke vomiting in the corner and pouring his pint all over himself was a definite no-go! hahaha!

I wandered outside and got ballsy enough to speak to a few blokes who seemed semi-normal. First one, was going bananas at his mate on the phone and when I asked his mates if they'd seen anyone with a spare ticket, he told his mate to keep his skirt on and not bother coming out as he'd just sold his ticket! Hahaha, easy as that, and I had a ticket in the Spurs end - and at face value!! Who says it's hard to get into an EPL game!!!

The worst bit is actually getting to the game and coming home. The tube is filled with Gooners singing songs about hating Spurs, which is fair play, but bloody intimidating when you're outnumbers 1 to 500! It was quite amusing actually, as the numpties in my carriage were slating the crap out of their own fans, singing "**** off if you don't want to sing" and "even Wenger thinks you're shite!" Hilarious!

The best thing is jumping around like a complete spastic when your team comes from nowhere to snatch a crucial point and giving man love to every random around you, while giving it the large to the Gooners over the fence! Priceless! Geez I wish I had my camera tonight!

All I can say is bring on Liverpool!

Tonight has strengthened my resolve to come back to the UK. The football is magic.

Has anybody seen Berbatov's assist to Ronaldo for his 2nd? Amazing bit of skill, I can't believe he did that, the defender did everything right too!

I'm still buzzing and singing! Bentleeeeeey from the halfway line, Bentleeeeey from the halfway line!!!! It was an amazing night. There's nothing like football to give you that feeling of going from top of the world (0-1) to rock bottom (3-1) to a glimmer of hope (3-2) to rock bottom (4-2) to consolation at a reasonable scoreline all things considered (4-3), then back to the top of the world (4-4)!!!

It was a seriously amazing experience and I'm glad I made the effort to grab a ticket.
