Got a yellow early on for a couple of poor fouls and then made a couple of other rash challenges. Thought his last foul on Herrera was very cynical and deserved a second card.

That Shaw was ok apart from being about 15kg overweight. He did struggle defending corners but thought he did a fairly decent job defensively. De Gea needs to stand up more at corners too, came off his line too early and flapped at a couple, really need him to assert himself in the box. Definate need atleast 1 hard nosed, tall CB though but reckon that will have to wait until January. Paddy showed more in 90 minutes last night than Smalling and Evans have in their careers, has a good head on him and fully deserved his chance. Have been surprised its taken so long for him to break into the side

Keeper isn't up to Standard. United have struggled getting a good keeper over the years. Apart from Schmiekel that is.
Tom Heaton would be a good acquisition for them next year.

Van der Sar was elite.
De Gea is one of the best shot stoppers not only in the EPL but the world but has always been shaky at corners. Most of the goals he concedes are from corners, very rarely beaten from distance
