Round 17 scores

Postby spell_check » Fri Dec 03, 2010 9:28 pm

Lol! This will not go down well; the Brisbane goalkeeper Theoklitos was outside his box when he took the ball; goes down the other end and Brisbane get the tieing goal with 1 minute to spare! Crowd are going off their rocker; Muscat having a heated conversation with the officials. You will not hear the end of this!

Score was 3 all; Melbourne were two goals behind, score three, then the drawing goal one minute from the close.

Archie Thompson had a dig at the linseman whilst interviewed "referees just can't get a handle on things".

No sorrow from here. A club who on the park have continuously pushed the boundaries and gotten away with it finally have got some in return. Seem to struggle with the return serve too....

Oh, and Muscat was in the thick of things after the match, giving the Brisbane goalkeeping coach a small jab to the stomach along with a gobful. Bozza wasn't concerned with it "A lot worse goes on in the tunnel with two passionate teams"

I know it was years ago but if Kosmina got done for his actions on Muscat this also must go.

Dodd hardly even touched that guy. It was like he was trying to jump around and over him, but he moved into his path. He didn't stamp on him either. Ref was right there too!

Then Galekovic gets hip and shouldered a minute later and the offending players gets nothing.

Scarily though, imagine how much worse it could have been without Eugene, saved us a few goals in the last few minutes alone .. The goal we conceded after half time was appalling (for allowing the through ball).

Luck or no luck, we could and should have won that game and handing back the momentum to the opposition a few times is always fraught with danger.
