Some of those chances were nothing short of pathetic by United. A 5 year old could of knocked that last one in.

I didnt understand why that wasn't a goal either.

Ref hadn't blown his whistle, I think.

Dont have to wait, as long as the players are back the required distance you can take the kick quickly.
Perfectly legit goal IMO

I'm pretty sure in that situation you do have to wait for it; the ref was busy sorting out the wall etc. The opposition are entitled to rely on it being a dead ball if the ref hasn't blown his whistle yet to restart things - it wasn't a quick free kick.

A lot like you in terms of a soccer fan, But since Healy, Lee and A Chick are talking on the cricket I've been watching this and it looks to me that Sydney like far more likely. In fact why wasn't that a goal?

That's the Australian captain to you...

Thrilling 0-0 contest in front of a packed stadium. Carusca's missed opportunity would’ve put the icing on the cake but it wasn’t to be. He’ll rue that one for a while as will Cirio hitting the post.

When Mabil starts to putting away chances like the one-on-one in the first half and the cross from Carusca in the second half he’ll be on his way to bigger and better things, in meantime Ferreira’s return from injury can’t come soon enough. Further improvement and good signs from Goodwin and Jego last night and Elrich is becoming a rock in defence.

Nice tribute to Johnny Warren, not seen that done during an actual game before.

Bring on the Phoenix

Didn’t try to hold the ball once in the first half, one touch passing to teammates to retain possession and every pass was clean. One wayward pass in the second half for the entire match, is above average for the A-league and yes I’d say that’s an improvement on previous games, but the guy is young and still finding his way in the team, certainly wouldn’t be writing him off just yet.

Mabil off to Ajax for trials in January. Marc Overmars enquired about getting a closer look at him and wants to trial him in hope of a permanent move in the New Year transfer window

Cirio with a 94th minute winner and a well deserved win. Absolutely played the Nix off the park, 1-1 would of been harsh
The winner was very iffy, reckon it was a blunder by the ref but will wait to see the replay for confirmation

Adelaide should've netted at least 3. Like the way United have been playing, Attractive to watch.
