Think there will be a few in the away bay Jim. With the time difference, Adelaide would surely get hosting rights. Can't see them playing at a neutral venue in front of nobody

Dont mind away supporters being there, its just well known that Adelaide fans tend to jump on a winning side

Yes but the loyal fans need to be rewarded.
Members should get priority and then anyone with a ticket from tonight gets next and then if any tickets are left the Johnny come latelys get them.
I know plenty of people who attended every round in the ACL and missed out on tickets to the final to people who hadnt attended any of the group stage matches.
Just need to look after the regulars first

I attended the match. First 20 was quite boring and it seemed that the Mariners were quite happy to park the bus until Adelaide scored that brilliant free kick piece. Managed to catch the mini signed by ball from Marrone after the match. Quite happy with that also! :D

At least the Mariners showed some spirit in the second half and I got to see two goals after watching 9 in a row for AU in the previous 2.5 games. We had 8 Mariners fans in the away bay, we had fun, got to chat to the players after the game. We looked so much better with Simon on the park, gets subbed on at half time in his first game back from a hamstring, scores a goal and them does a quad not long later :(
4548 fans there, at least we knew each other on a first name basis. :D

Very disappointing crowd, just hope the supporters there tonight get first dibs on the tickets as there will be heaps of bandwagoners wanting to attend the final

Looks like thats happening, Jim.

I believe I heard tickets go on sale for AUFC/PFC members on 18/11, football family members (whoever they are) go on release later that day (IIRC), and the general public get a crack on 19/11.

So which category do the ones that attended wednesday night come under? I went and I'm not a AUFC member

General public, unless you're part of the Football Family without realising it; I was, even before I was a member for some reason.

Well played MH. Silly me for assuming the majority that went on wednesday night are infact AUFC members. My post was more aimed at members getting first crack for the final.

If you went and are not a member, well you have as much chance as the average Joe wanting a ticket as a bandwagoner. Complain if you miss out? Well the simple answer is become a member...

Final won't sell out. there's a ticketek outlet 500 meters from home. I'll get a ticket

Considering there were only 4548 at the semi final including a massive contingent of Mariners fans (8) surely talk about tickets being a sellout is a bit far fetched?
Or do they have that many bandwagonners?

I would have thought (well, guess lol), that it would go close to being a sellout. Everyone wants to win a title and be there to see it, so I'd expect heaps of non-regulars to get along

If there going to take this competition seriously i don't believe you can hold a final on a Tuesday/Wednesday night. How many finals are held in any sport midweek? Why not have a one week hiatus in the A-League and play it in the marquee time slot on a Saturday night. It would sell-out imo.

Because its regarded as Mickey Mouse, its just like the old Escort Cup. Hopefully it grows in years to come though.

For it to grow I believe it needs to be inclusive to all clubs just like the FA Cup is, not just a select few.

Ticket limit for members is ten/transaction. So maybe not expecting a sellout.

Only about 2-4k at most of the ACL games and I reckon only about 6k for the semi. When the final tickets went on sale it was sold out in a matter of days so im guessing plenty of bandwagonners
