A serious question:

When someone like Muscat scores a goal, a penalty, and we loathe him...are we cheering the scorer? Or are we cheering the goal? Can the two be separated?

I guess they can be seperated BUT one cant happen without the other.

I have mates that do it at SANFL/AFL. They support the crows and central. One week they are carrying on celebrating Ken McGregor yelling out the typical, Go Kenny, Carn Kenny type stuff clapping when he kicks a goal, the next week he gets dropped and plays against the Dogs and there yelling out Your a hack, AFL reject etc etc etc

For me, I cheer the goal. I couldn't give a flying fart in space who scores it; just as long as we score goals and win games.

Always cheers the goal, however I could've boofed John Aloisi when he sunk that 5th shot.

It's called supporting a team. You want those representing that team to do well. Doesn't mean you like the players at all. We don't all sit down at the start of the season and figure out which bunch of blokes we like best and then supporting that side for the year. We support whoever is playing for our team year in year out. Sometimes that means villians become heroes (like Carey moving from NM to Adelaide) but that doesn't mean all Adelaide supporters suddenly thought Carey was an upstanding citizen with high morals.

I didn't think Aloisi was that attractive
I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.

I didn't think Malcolm Blight was either in 1997 or 1998 but jubilation will do that to you.
If a black snake with an infected ar$e was coach of the Crows, I would have boofed it. Only if someone held its head...

Can you share the good reasons please ?

2x Championship Captain!!!

Penalty he scored in Australia's 1-0 World Cup qualifier win over Uruguay at the MCG

I was at that game, and I yelled my head off with 90,000 other Aussies fans when he scored, didnt mean I liked him
