Round 10

Postby daysofourlives » Mon May 22, 2017 8:39 pm

How many trades do people have left?

I have 18 with probably just 2 upgrades to go, Marchbank and Newman. Newman maybe a keeper yet.
Steele, Fyfe, Sandilands and Grundy on notice and maybe upgraded if i have trades in hand. Tough gig generating cash though whilst also maintaining some half decent bench cover

How is everyone looking for the bye rounds?
R11-17
R12- 21
R13-17, i imagine thats probably a fair position to be in given we all have non playing rookies sitting on our bench. A sideways trade of Pickett to a Greenwood will give me 18

How the **** are people upgrading with a) original rookies scoring **** all, and b) nothing decent to trade down to

I've burnt most of my trades trying to avoid donuts each week. Might as well have not bothered, having a season from hell.

Ive only upgraded to cut price premiums, cant afford anything else, certainly cant afford to pay 650+.
It was certainly the year to take the punt on the mid pricers from the start rather than the Premium/rookie strategy

I have 20 but have 5 upgrades to go. Finding it really hard to generate cash, as soon as I have any its spent avoiding donuts and what not. Going to be hard to have a full premo side that im happy with, ill probably have to stick with some mid pricers like Sandi and Steele

16 and 4 but I'm not scoring as many points as you blokes. I stuffed up by rage trading Hanners but I learnt my lesson with Treloar so I'm hopeful I can get 22, well, not guns but no Marchbanks or Ottens on the field come August. I just hope I'm still in finals contention in the Premier League by then. Probably not tbh, you don't need to make too many clangers to fall down the list in that league.

We all knew Sandi was going miss at some stage, most people should have Nank to move into the rucks

Yep but do they have forward cover for that switch?
With Fremantle having the r13 bye do we think Sandy will come back before then? They play Collingwood at home and Brisbane away before the bye. If i knew he wont play again until r14 id trade him now, Goldy running into form

Goldy is an interesting one, he has bottomed out in price but also shares the same bye as Nank so cant use him as cover. I have the cover at the moment but if he misses upto the bye he may need to be looked at. I guess you dont often have 1 week hammys at 34

22 trades and 6 spots minimum to upgrade for me to be happy... currently sitting 0-6 in my worse ever SC season... haven't rage traded or sideways traded to fill spots (and my position shows that).

Hoping to get a decent run after the byes (in a cash league i am in where I am 2-4) but could be all over before then if I don't get some luck in the byes.

Think ill go Marchbank to Harbrow and Stewart to Perryman if selected or McInnes, leaves me really only Newman to upgrade and 16 trades. Its a shame Newman wont be ready to trade for his bye next week, he will still have at least 50k to make the week after is my guess
Id Sandi doesnt get picked next week ill trade him for Ryder and Pickett for Greenwood. Think that will give me at least 18 every week of the byes.
Also have Wallis on the radar in place of Sandi too.
Not falling for the Walters trap, reckon Ross the Boss despises SC and loves ******* with us, that should see him return to permanent forward as early as this week. ( I also noticed REB's Straycats bought him in last week in a sure sign not to go there, so if Q can just confirm he has also brought him in then that should be sufficient warning for us all)
