I can't because all of my bench players are playing this week

Quichey would have explained it better probably. I don't have any candidates who play next weekend I can use the trick on so will just stick with Ablett.

So if Im reading this correctly, using player examples, you would go in this week with Captain Ablett, VC - Hodge, and leave say Phil Davis on the field?
If Hodge scores say 150, then you next week you make Phil Davis your captain and collect the double on Hodge?

So next week, I can sub in Goddard as (C) if Hodge does poo tonight?
If Hodge dominates, have Goddard as EMG, hope Davis doesn't play, or say Campbell Heath
Is this the theory?
Will Davis miss next week? Lol

Almost. Make Phil Davis your captain and move him to the field. Have Ablett as emergency.
If you're happy with Hodge's score do nothing, if not, put the captaincy on Ablett.
And hope that Phil Davis doesn't play
