Brown out for a month

Postby White Line Fever » Tue Jun 15, 2010 11:15 am

It looks official now, Vossy has declared Brown (who wants to play) will be rested for a month.
For the 181,645 SuperCoach teams who have him, will you trade or bench?
A few options about..
Heath Grundy
Boomer Harvey
Or a darkhorse in Brad Dick?

If he had retained his value, I'd consider a sideways trade for another premium. But he has dipped in price and might not be worth trading out. I just gotta hope that he actually returns as expected and has recovered well enough so he can start belting out some huge scores again.

I'm fugged though - Brown, Higgins and Hargrave all spending time on my pine and none of them worth trading out :(

What you do next is determined by your strategies and trades remaining. You have to decide whether you can still make the eight or not and I'd suggest that at the moment you can. If you have a say 8-10 or more trades left I say sideways trade as you are currently out of the eight. Higgins will be back in two weeks but it might be time to cut your losses with Hargrave and Brown.

Perhaps aim for trading one up and one down with the aim of picking up a Daisy Thomas, Jack Riewoldt or Gilbert type player who is in form. Next week's clash against Poon is a must win for you so even if you have less than 8 left I'd be trading to hopefully pick up an extra 100 points. Lose this one and your remaining trades will then need to be used for avoiding relegation. GO FOR BROKE THIS WEEK. And then see what happens after that.

I'll think about it REB ;)

Reckon I'll only trade to avoid a donut, which would be one of Brown or Higgins.

I am holding back a trade form him because I am not convinced he will come back right or even play out the season

I'll hold him over the split round and reassess after that

Boomer Harvey is only $20K dearer right now

I've decided to hold him too.
I've got plenty of cover in Hitchcock and stewart, and throw in the mid-season break and its only 3 weeks.

Then he will back with a vengeance and start pumping out big scores, and i would probably waste two trades by the time i get him back.

Boomer's been a bit inconsistent this year. Can't shake a tag.
