Jumped into the the 8 for the first time this year. Hopefully I can hold on and make finals. Think I have a tough run home though.

Finally cracked a win with Janech , Fyfe and Barlow all K.Oed or injured luckly only Barlow on the long term list and will probebly make a straight swap for Swan or Montagna this week . Need to chalk another win against Jims tigerroos this week and a few other results to go my way and will still be in the race . :D :D

Division VI Round 12

BloodnTars vs Killer Wombats!
Ankles United vs Knuckle Sandwich
Longwood Lions vs The Goonies
BenjisBeasts vs Stats Enough
Nutkickers vs THE BLOODS
Leisa's Lovelies vs The Glory Shed
Jim's TigerRoos vs wonder elephants
Prestige Worldwide vs HorsePlay

There are some absolutely crucial clashes in Divvy VI this week with the top teams all clashing against each other this round. Once again ladder leader BLOODS is under siege, this time the challenge comes from fourth ranked Nutkickers who have kicked on in recent weeks. While BLOODS have been a little wobbly of late they have continually found ways to win and I reckon they'll do so again in this match of the round.

In form Knuckle Sandwich will have their top four status put to the test by Ankles United who will still harbour some top four aspirations of their own. Knuckles have been very strong in recent weeks and should be able to give United the Ankle. Stats Enough have been another top ranking side that has stumbled slightly of late and I expect this to continue with a loss to the surging BenjisBeasts who suffered a hiccup last week. Killer Womats! have been mid table all year and BloodnTars have gone past them but this match may well decide which team makes the eight. It is also possible that both could miss as Leisa's Lovelies are also hovering with a winnable fixture against the Shed coming up. I reckon that BloodnTars is in better form and that the Wombats! might finally go underground here.

The only other match which has top eight implications is between the two sides that I been writing off nearly every week for the past couple of weeks in the TigerRoos and the elephants. The loser of this one is GAWNSKI but the winner could be only one game out of the top eight with three matches to play. I'm going to select the TigerRoos here as they have been the more consistent scorer over the journey but as with all matches this week the Barlow factor will prove decisive.

I'm getting smashed.

My opponent lost Goddard like me...

but Henderson bobs up with 136 on the bench.

Another week, another loss.
I'd like to say that I am in the middle of some hard training.
Doesn't help when you have a player on the bench who scores 173.
Benji was too good.
Next week gets even harder fronting Longwood Lions.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

ROUND 12

Results

BloodnTars 2,079 def by 2,153 Killer Wombats!
Ankles United 1,910 def 1,762 Knuckle Sandwich

Jim's TigerRoos 2,275 def 2,083 wonder elephants
Prestige Worldwide 1,954 def by 2,071 HorsePlay

THE BLOODS have finally been dethroned in Division VI as they came a cropper at the hands of the Nutkickers. Longwood Lions roared to the top of the table in a move that was on the cards when you look at the scoring patterns of this league.

BenjisBeasts cleaned up Stats Enough who are starting to splutter slightly and Jim's TigerRoos finally hopped into some good form and finally I can say bye bye wonder elephants. Ankles had an important win on the weekend and HorsePlay shut up all the neighsayers with a much needed win over Prestige in a result which could see the Horseys get off the bottom of the ladder. Wombats! discovered their killer instinct and the Lovelies have a new Leisa on life after shutting up the Shed.

Division VI Round 13

BloodnTars vs Knuckle Sandwich
Ankles United vs Killer Wombats!
Longwood Lions vs Stats Enough
BenjisBeasts vs The Goonies
Nutkickers vs The Glory Shed
Leisa's Lovelies vs THE BLOODS
Jim's TigerRoos vs HorsePlay
Prestige Worldwide vs wonder elephants

No real standout matches in Division VI this week but nearly every game becomes important at this stage of the season. The battle for the top eight here is wide open with two sides currently outside the top eight still a good chance of making the finals. The match of the round this week is the battle between Ankles United and Killer Wombats! who will be keen to retain their rather tenuous hold on a finals spot. I reckon Ankles can sink the boot in and once again I'm tipping against Wombats! Seventh ranked BloodnTars have a tough game against Knuckle Sandwich and I reckon Knuckles will make a good fist of this match and record a win.

THE BLOODS are flowing in the wrong direction in recent weeks and once again they face tough opposition in the form of Leisa's Lovelies who can go on and cause the upset. League giant Longwood Lions can add further to Stats Enough's recent rough trot while BenjisBeasts and Nutkickers should go on to record straightforward wins. Jims TigerRoos and wonder elephants will win this week but their chance to impress has now gone.

Don't bother I correspond with the Family regularly so they will understand. (Should be “Royal Longwood Lions” but too long for the field)
I noticed your issue in the forward line but REB has me “all a fluster” and thought that i could do better.
I am still to take on the bad guys in a higher league in the finals so trying for top 4 is good.

ROUND 13

Results
BloodnTars 2,034 def 1,817 Knuckle Sandwich
Ankles United 2,052 def 1,709 Killer Wombats!
Longwood Lions 1,844 def by 1,935 Stats Enough

Jim's TigerRoos 2,215 def 1,943 HorsePlay
Prestige Worldwide 2,070 def 1,847 wonder elephants

There were upsets aplently in Division VI with no side appearing to want to take on the mantle of favouritism. The top two sides got done as Stats Enough cleaned up Longwood Lions and Leisa's Lovelies remained in the hunt by defeating THE BLOODS. Glory Shed pulled off a monumental upset by defeating Nutkickers and a close look at the ladder sees a gap of only one match between top ranked Longwood Lions and 9th ranked Leisa's Lovelies who are pretty unlucky to be out of the eight when they are only one match behind the leaders.

This premiership is up for grabs! Remember though that the premiership is the not the sole objective for Division VI coaches. Promotion for Division V and Division VI sides for 2011 is decided on ranking points for the year. Keep an eye out for promotion news and standings in the Hogg Shield relegation/promotion thread.

Division VI Round 14

BloodnTars vs The Goonies
Ankles United vs Stats Enough
Longwood Lions vs Killer Wombats!
BenjisBeasts vs Knuckle Sandwich
Nutkickers vs wonder elephants
Leisa's Lovelies vs HorsePlay
Jim's TigerRoos vs THE BLOODS
Prestige Worldwide vs The Glory Shed

Stats Enough has gotten themselves back into the top eight and to stay there they will need to defeat Ankles United in the Division VI match of the day. I reckon Stats will salute which would put them back into top four reckoning once again that is how close this Division is. Out of all the Hogg leagues this is the toughest in which to select a winner. Another key clash in Divvy VI is the match between BenjisBeasts and Knuckle Sandwich with the loser of this one a possibility to be outside the eight by next Sunday night. I reckon the Beasts have been going a bit better in recent weeks and that Knuckles could be in 9th spot this time next week.

Leisa's Lovelies are poised to enter the top eight as they should have no trouble with last placed HorsePlay despite the Horsies good win last week. BloodnTars are another side that should be able to bank the four points to ensure a top eight position. Misfiring leaders Longwood Lions can kill off Wombats! season but I think that THE BLOODS woes will continue for another week as Jim's TigerRoos have belatedly run into some hot form...and perhaps Jimbos boys can still sneak into the eight yet if the results fall his way. Any team that gets to nine wins though is safe from the TigerRoos grasp. In the other game I reckon that Nutkickers can do just that to wonder elephants who should now be concentrating on the rankings race rather than the Division VI premiership. The best way to climb the rankings for non contenders is to save trades for the last two or three weeks of the season.

That is the high score of the Hogg I believe. It has lifted the TigerRoos to 2nd spot in the promotion race which means if the Piglet qualifiers elect not to be promoted next year then he'll go straight into Division III.

 Thanks guys, i'm pretty happy with that score. 8)

I guess this promotion thing where its ranked by total points is good for me since I'm not even going to make the finals. I will have to save my 5 trades and $220k to use during the finals campaign even though I'm not playing (in the real ones) :?
