Not too much interest here in Divvy VI with a number of teams in this league double ups. At this stage there are five sides looking to progress to Division V next year -Jays Jocks, Wacky Tigers, Scros Swimmers, Adelaide Crows and Harro's Wombats who are all currently in the top eight. The only other unique is SmoothAsGwilt who aren't winning matches and will probably find themselves in a much easier Division VI next year.

The Venomous Geckos are dominating in the lower leagues of the Hogg currently sitting on top of the tumbleweed league as well as in Division V. Harro's Wombats look a good thing for promotion with an outstanding bye week score of 2235. This is a pretty lopsided division but great to see Crawf struggling along at 4-6, although his scoring patterns suggest the top eight is not yet out of reach.

Bulldog clearance machine Libba Junior was a key player in the downfall of two highly rated Division VI teams in this week's round of matches. Wacky Tigers and Venomous Geckos copped the brunt of Libba s the father son duo of Straycat Strut and FOOTYLEDGENS pouched important wins, especially for the LEDGENS who are somehow out of the top eight in this league.

Another team that is somehow on the outside looking in is Crawf's Crew who ranked fourth in scoring but sit in eleventh spot. Not that Crawf would have time to check his 200 thousand teams while he's out on that ride for charity. Meida Park managed the rarest of wins as they claimed the four points against a disappointing iSwitCh team but all in all there's not much to say about the tumbleweed league....

Jays Jocks have pulled up their strides and given Harros Wombats an almighty wedgie in Round 13 of Division VI action. With both of these sides eligble for promotion into Division V next season this was a big result for Jocksy with an impressive 2422 suggesting that they won't be out of place in higher leagues. Of the other team that are eligble for promotion the Wacky Tigers were impressive once again and they sit comfortably in second on the ladder and a big grudge match against Jays Jocks is looming unless the Strutties lose the plot and start losing matches.

Adelaide Crows scored well defeat iSwitCh who put in a stronger showing than normal this week and scros swimmers were the latest team to defeat the Geckos who have been far from Venomous in recent weeks. The Wombats loss sees them in real danger of remaining in Division VI next season which would be a pity as they have scored very well in this league despite not being rewarded with victories. The resident Herald Sun SC Shane Crawford is also scoring fairly well and remains in the hunt for the finals, he must have an iPad on his bike!

Stone the Crows! ;)

Save your trades for the finals. Better to have one chance and three trades than the double chance and no trades. At the very least you'll earn promotion.

Think 1 trade will have to be made, Blicavs will start losing too much money soon and I already have Goldstein, Kreuzer and Nicholls to cover the rucks anyway. Will leave me 2 trades and $305,100

18 Joes GIANTS 0 14 18345 26594 68.98 0

She's a fairly lopsided league this one. So much so that ninth ranked FOOTYLEDGENS at 8-6 with a percentage of 109.07 is no certainty to qualify for finals action. The bottom six teams are regulularly copping a pizzling from the contenders so the run home will be one to watch with interest. Wacky Tigers and Jays Jocks are almost certainties to go up with Adelaide Crows, Harros Wombats and Scros Swimmers likely to be in the hunt for the other two spots. Remember folks that Straycat, Geckos, Team LEO and FOOTYLEDGENS are all double up teams and are therefore ineligble to be promoted to Division V.

Three rounds to go and game on. And we've finally got someone posting in this thread LOL.

K. Jack vs 57 points, should be able to beat Wacky Tigers you would think. Big win with Scros likely going down, it almost locks up a top 4 spot.

I hope Andy Demetriou doesn't see this premiership table or he might frame it and use it as a justification of a final ten. If ever a league did deserve ten finalists it is this one and their will be two very unlucky sides in two weeks when the dust on the minor round settles. The Adelaide Crows have had just as important a win as their namesake with a victory over the highly rated Wacky Tigers that could set RKJ up for a shot at promotion next year. Harro's Wombats also scored a big win and they are now the league's leading scorer and they look good for a finals spot.

However, all of the big teams were totally upstaged by FOOTYLEDGENS who scored a massive score to defeat Scros Swimmers and send them tumbling out of the top four. The LEDGENS are in white hot form at the moment and have entered the top eight with some real momentum behind them. At the arse end of the ladder Leisa's Lovelies recorded just their second win of the season and that is more than enough to hand the wooden spoon to Joes GIANTS who are the worst team in the Hogg this year.

If you are a good side, then it is your duty to get out of any league with Joes GIANTS in it.

RKJ's Adelaide Crows are big chance of winning the Hogg Division VI flag after knocking off the top two teams in the last two weeks. The Crows have had a big win over Straycat Strut ACK the game must have been played at Football Park! This result hasn't done much good for Harro's Wombats, Scros Swimmers or the Venomous Geckos who would all have hoped that the Strutties would do the business and open up the door for a top four spot. Despite some very important victories for the top seven sides (Strut not included here) there is no change to this week's ladder.

All the teams on 9-7 got rolled so it will be a dog fight to see who will get that last finals place. FOOTYLEDGENS appears to have the inside running as they play Jackstars in the last round while Crawf has Straycat Strut and Team LEO has SmoothasGwilt.

While Division VI was not a strong league overall the top eight teams are very competitive and this should be a good finals series. Unlike many other leagues the top eight scorers all made the finals so no need for any hard luck stories in this thread.

My Strutties may have topped the ladder but the leading scorer for the league is Harro's Wombats who missed the double chance. If I can't beat Jays Jocks this week then a straight sets exit for the Strutties could be on the cards.

The teams in Green are the sides that are eligble for promotion so that means one team might be very unlucky and remain in Division VI next season. A more likely scenario is that all five of these finals sides will go up as we get our annual exodus of coaches.

Hogg Division VI Finals week one

1st Qualifying Final
Straycat Strut 2185
Jay's Jocks 2185

2nd Qualifying Final
Wacky Tigers 2141
Adelaide Crows 1982

1st Elimination Final
Harro's Wombats 2202
FOOTYLEDGENS 2135

2nd Elimination Final
Venomous Geckos 2245
Scros Swimmers 2154

Spare a thought for Jays Jocks who were lowered without being beaten in their Qualifying Final. After drawing their match against the Strutties the DRS intervened and ruled in favour of the Minor Premiers. In the other Quallie the Wacky Tigers made short work of the Adelaide Crows to earn the week off with the Strut. Harro's Wombats continued their strong form by eliminating FOOTYLEDGENS and the Venomous Geckos made it two from two in the Hogg this week by knocking off Scros Swimmers.

The bad news for Jays Jocks is that they play in a Semi Final next week but the good news is that they will be promoted to Hogg Division V next season. All of the promotions were decided by the above results with Scros Swimmers being the team that will stay in Division VI next season. So it will be Jays Jocks, Wacky Tigers, Harro's Wombats and Adelaide Crows who will go up. This flag race is a fairly open one but I'm tipping a premier from left field in the form of Harro's Wombats who score very well most weeks even though his scoring was down a little this time round.

Division VI Semi Finals Preview

1st Semi Final 4 - Jays Jocks vs. 5 - Harro's Wombats

The Jocks' were very unlucky to be playing in this match after their tie against the Minor Premiers Straycat Strut. Of course a tie is as good as a loss against a higher ranked opponent and lucky ol' Jocky's reward for his top effort last week is to face a knockout final against the top scoring team of the division Harro's Wombats. The Wombats will be sweating on the return of Ibbo this week as young Demon Mitch Clisby has been rubbed out. Jays Jocks are solid in the backline and the midfield being strong enough to bench Tom Mitchell and David Staker but were hurt badly by an underperforming Boomer and business as usual from Zorko. If Ibbotson plays and I think he might, then I reckon the Wombats can eat root and leave. My tip - Harro's Wombats.

2nd Semi Final 3 - Adelaide Crows vs. 7 - Venomous Geckos

The Crows run of good scoring came to a shuddering halt last week as they put in the shitter of the finals in week one. Meanwhile, the previously out of form Geckos racked up a respectable score that was over 300 points more than the Crows could raise last week. The Crows were flying a few weeks ago but all of a sudden the defence looks suspect with guys like Dixon, Shaw and Gibbs not certain of racking up the ton. The Geckos can boast a solid midfield line up that will be relying on the likes of Sam Mitchell and Richard Douglas to ton up. If the Crows' defence can return to their normal scoring I can't see Callum getting up but I have grave fears for Shaw and Gibbs in particular. I reckon it's straight sets for the Crowbots. My tip - Venomous Geckos.
