I'm probably going to go conservative this week. I don't want to burn two trades but I'm going to trade out Robinson for Coughlan and sit Gablett on the bench for this week. I can afford to do this because my opponent Testaccio SPQR is one of the weakest teams in Hogg Premier. I'll probably trade Gablett out when I come up against GordonBlues. Because I am trying to save trades I'll probably get done in my AFL Online league which is a fairly high standard comp but I might jag the Division II match and go 2-1 for the weekend and save a trade.

I have been (stupidly) carrying Benny Cousins on the bench since round 1. Hopefully he is back this week and will just sub him with Gablett. Will probably trade Beams for Coughlan and hopefully that will cover his points.

Sitting 3-0 in the newly formed Div 4 so can probably afford to hold onto him - Bigger concern is who to trade Richo for. Pav is back in form but Fev is alot cheaper and looking at the Hawks game seems to be over his heel injury?!?!

Will he be back this weekend? Hasn't been listed on their injury list for this week. Not much has been said in the media either.

I reckon they'll give him one more week.

I traded him, but will get him back after his price drops to below what I sold him for. Looking to have Ablett, Bartel and J Selwood in the one midfield

Well, I've got GordonBlues this week and GAblett is back. The bastard has the exact same midfield as I have!

Rik E Boy wrote:Trade. The Cats won't play him until he is climbing the walls in frustration. Geelong can afford to be very conservative with injured players and have been this way for the past three seasons. Then pick him up when his price drops after a couple of games back in about six or seven weeks just in time for the latter stages of the year.

This poll should read: Who should I trade for Ablett.

Well you were right on that one. He had a shocker after 2 weeks out. Price has dropped immensely.

Ablett still has to score 200 SC points for BE. It's not impossible for the freak, but I can see his price dropping below $700K at some point.

He most certainly is a freak. Even if he does drop below $700k, it won't be by much and most people still won't have the coin to get him at high $600's anyway. You also have to take into consideration it's going to take you three trades to get rid of him and get him back in. I know he has already been out and back in, but there is no way I was going to get rid of him.

I'll be happy if he get's below $700K, I still have the spare cash and will look to upgrade a lesser player, like Higgins or Rich, and will come out on top (if he doesn't get injured again) from it. Selwood has been a solid captain for two weeks and I think I will go with him again.

Ablett to possibly miss again. It's a worry as I'm all set to bring him for the finals, but if he is going to miss games I'm then torn between using the cash to make other upgrades and the Ablett factor.

He'd better play. I'm flying over tomorrow to watch them on Saturday. Damn it.

Ablett's due for a price drop Quichey

If he misses this week and scores his average the week after he'll be about $686K for first week of finals. If he scores < 146 then he could even get down to $650K.

It's a hard one to know whether to grab him or not. Interestingly, there are coaches picking different captains recently. Mostly those with ROK. But, still, it shows that some of the "must have Ablett" feeling is going. I already have him so I don't know what I'd do if I was you. Problem is that you make the decision not to get him and then he'll come out and score 200!

Yeah, it's a tough one. I could use the money to upgrade Rich and Kornes and have a gun midfield. Only problem would be agonising over a captain each week.
