Punk Roosters vs Pigeon Stinge
Toolman vs Brownys Boys
Lioneaters vs TheWorstThereIs
Marion ManBearPigs vs Cork in the Ocean
Onegameatatimers vs lodge lads '10'
Carpe Diem vs Strawbsberries

After the Marion ManBearPigs recorded a fine victory over the lodge lads last week they caught the Straycats and the Bulldogs but that form will come crashing down as they face the invincible might of Cork in the Ocean who has dominated Division III so far this season with one of the best win/loss records in the Hogg. Corky will clean up the BearPigs and send them back to the sty and out of the top four because a menacing Toolman combination will defeat Browny's Boys and end their season.

In recent weeks Pigeon Stinge and pafc1870 have recorded arse covering wins to remain in the hunt but both sides face opponents who should have them covered. Boongas Bulldogs had a slip up against the Stinge last week but I reckon they can bounce back to knock 1870 out of the race. Pigeon Stinge has been more consistent as far as his comeback goes and on last week's scores Punky is in trouble. However when I made this observation Punky called me on it and defended his point scoring ability. He's won me over - I reckon he'll get home but Stinge will get closer to a win than 1870 will in his match.

Lioneaters will complete the final eight with a regulation win over Worstie which means I'm expecting the top eight to remain as is for this division despite the best efforts of Brownys Boys, Pigeon Stinge and pafc1870. The Strutties and the lodge lads will bounce back to form after recent losses with wins and Carp will defeat Strawbs duds to move above Pigeon on the ladder.

Very lucky win. Tippet only needed to score 36+ (instead of 32) and I would've gone down in this league and the cash one. Combined winning margin of 5 points this week in those two leagues...

ROUND 14

Results
Straycat Strut 1850 Tiger 1717
Boongas Bulldogs 2315 pafc1870 1746
Pigeon Stinge 2196 Punky 2108
Toolman 2096 Browny 2095
Lioneaters 2210 Worsties 1304
Cork in the Ocean 2314 BearPig 2152
lodge lad '10' 2157 Onegame 2118
Carpe Diem 1991 Strawbs 1784

Cork in the ocean continued their Division III dominance with a high scoring win over fellow contenders Marion ManBearPigs in the match of the round. The loss sent the Milky Bar Kid packing but he could return to the top four on the back of a percentage booster against Worsties in the last round.

In another top clash Toolman hung on by a single point to defeat Browny’s Boys in a cruel result that could end Browny’s season. Boonga’s Bulldogs returned to top form and Punky had the heat turned up on him by Pigeon Stinge who just refuse to go away. The fixture for the last round is harsh on Stinge though – he has to play inform Toolman and Punky plays Browny’s Boys meaning a finals appointment may be unlikely for Pige despite their hot finish to the season. The unheralded Carp Diem are also only one game out of the eight but like Stinge face a tough clash in the last round and look unlikely to progress.

For the slim hope i have of making the finals, i would need to beat Toolman by a fair margain (400 or so) and hope Browny's Boys post a small win over the Punk Roosters.

My Tip Browny's Boys to make the 8.

Division III Round 15

Year of the Tiger vs pafc1870
Boongas Bulldogs vs Straycat Strut
Punk Roosters vs Brownys Boys
Toolman vs Pigeon Stinge
Lioneaters vs Cork in the Ocean
Marion ManBearPigs vs TheWorstThereIs
Onegameatatimers vs Strawbsberries
Carpe Diem vs lodge lads '10'

Match of the round this week is the fight to the death between Punky and Browny for the last spot in the top eight on the eve of the finals. Punky has been a little wobbly lately and with Browny racking up some improved scoring in recent weeks I'm going to agree with Pige and select Brownys Boys to snaffle Punkys top eight spot. Toolman will close the door on Pige and 1870 and Carp will come up short but 1870 will at least finish the year off with a win.

In top four land it will be touch and go for my Strutties who won't beat the Bulldogs this week Toolman will go above me but I reckon I might just hold off lodgey and the ManBearPigs and my reward will be a week one finals belting from Corky. Yep, Strutties are just about gone for the year. Lioneaters will find out this week who is king of the jungle in Division III this week as they will cop a loss from Corky who hasn't done much wrong all season long to be honest and higher honours await the mighty Cork.

Results

Marion ManBearPigs 2046 Worsties 1108
Onegameatatimers 1862 Strawb 1519
lodge lads '10' 2131 Carp 1849

Brownys Boys have come back from the dead to knock Punk Roosters out of the top eight in Hogg Division III. The ManBearPigs that are from Marion snuck into fourth spot after smashing Worsties much to the annoyance of an unknown source who was hoping to *ahem* dis'lodge' Toolman from top spot.

Lioneaters pulled off a big upset by knocking over Corky and Pigeon's fantastic finish to the season has all been for nought as he finished just shy of participating in the finals.

Lioneaters forward line fired BIG time and was just enough to get over the line.
