@ wcy

That's exactly right! I think in this division a top 4 spot is very important. You outscored me by 300 points last round

I have ended up with Goodwin and Shaw still out but at least Enright is playing

Tough decision coming up on whether to do one trade regardless and hope those 2 guys come back

Division I Round 15

Leisa's Lovelies vs LKIF
Supre Cil Dluohs vs CoverKing's Army
Captain Who? vs Woodys Dropkick
Hondominators YSCC vs Dutchys Dodos
cobras vs PicklesPA
Mosquitoes vs wycbloods
The Browns vs Matty's Knights
The Dark Knights vs Blue Boy

This very closely contested league has a couple of crackers to finish off the minor round which will determine who makes the top four or not. Hondo takes on Dutchy in the match of the round with Hondo's thinking chamber going into overdrive as he ponders his options at this point of the season....to trade or not to trade that is the question. I reckon Hondo will go for broke this week and select a side capable of rolling Dutchy thus closing the top four door on his rivals. Another big match with a little less at stake is the match between Woody and Captain Who. Not many teams have the edge on Woody but Captain Who does and with Woody about to go into his late Winter hibernation perhaps Captain Who will salute and the same teams will face each other again for higher stakes in the first round of the finals next week.

Other top eight sides have assignments with varying degrees of difficulty. Supre Cil Dlouhs will find the going tough against CoverKing and the Mozzies won't be able to draw any from wycbloods who has been scoring well lately and I had to write that or he'll sook. The Dark Knights have the easiest gig and they should be able to clean up Blue Boy and they should slide into 5th spot and a match up with SCD next week. What Knighter will be hoping for is a narrow Dutchy win and a percentage builder over Bluey so he can snaffle fourth.

Most of the bottom eight don't have a lot to play for but LKIF will be keen on a win over Leisa's Lovelies to avoid a relegation final next week. LKIF will need to win and win well as their percentage is poor. If the Browns can get anywhere near their score of last week they'll be too good for Matty's Knights so I reckon LKIF will be playing off against Pickles PA for the right to remain in Division I. We don't have too many cripple fights in this tough league but cobras and Pickles PA have been hopelessly out of their depth in this league all season. The cobras will go on to win their second match of the year but will get done by Blue Boy in the relegation final next week.

Well done Dutchy. I thought I had you covered (just) until Hurn pulled out and suddenly I had to use Webberley's score. So then I needed Giansiracusa to score < 102. He kicked a goal with about a minute to go and there's the top 4 gone.

Maybe we'll meet again! I think I have SCD this week in a knock out final.

ROUND 15

Results
LKIF 1721 Lovelies 1717
CoverKing's Army 2251 SCD 1998
Captain Who? 2181 Woody 1926
Dutchys Dodos 2129 Hondo 2127
cobras 1640 Pickles 1451
wycbloods 2118 Mozzies 2094
The Browns 2127 Matty's 2099
Blue Boy 1958 Dark 1937

A lot of very close matches in Hogg Division I this week with the Dutchy v Hondo match the most crucial of them all. Dutchy's two point win secures him a double chance match up with minor premier CoverKing for the right to a week off next week. Woody failed to score 2000 for the third straight week and now faces an uphill battle to secure what looked to be there for the taking earlier in the year. Once again Groover proved to be Woody's master.

The top eight has been a fair way ahead of the rest for the last couple of weeks so now the battle for the flag and a spot in Hogg Premier is on in earnest. Pickles PA and cobras look to be the sides that will be going down to Division II next season.

See you next year!!

With no trades and spuds like H Scotland and R O'Keefe scoring 40-50 a week, It'll be a quick exit this week :(
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

I think bloods is on the other side of the draw

I reckon I meet the dominant force of CoverKing in the prelim if luck goes my way and I get that far

That's if I win the first week Hondo! If I lose I think I play the winner of bloods and scd, therefore can't
knock bloods out in the preliminary final!!
