Major changes:

- H2H start in round 1
- 24 trades
- When AFL has the 5 rounds with 3 teams having a bye, no H2H games
- 33 squad size now

They seem good changes to me

I am playing NBL Dream Team to get some practice at dealing with byes. Round 2 has already thrown up the first bye and I wasn't prepared properly!

Only 4 extra trades means you can't trade out a gun on his his bye week and bring him back the week later too often. You'd probably need to leave that for later in the season and, instead, start players who have their byes later in the season.

A lot of thought has to go into it this year. And here i was last year, thinking i was always on the Supercoach app on my phone ;) I'll be on it nearly 24/7 especially since im in Hogg Premier this year.

I think with the byes this year, picking good rookies and back up players and the starting squad is more important than ever!

Looking forward to it, thats for sure.

I know a couple of guys that play NRL Dream Team which has had byes for a while. They talk about picking "bye friendly players". So the schedule of byes will become our bible!

You'd have to be careful about picking too many players from one team. Especially too many of your guns from one team.

I wouldn't assume anything as far as SC goes. They might do something completely different. I'll be scoping out FanFooty and Tooserious to see what Walesy and Monty come up with.
