He finally had a bad week last week (still over 100) and thats the first time i had played him for a while IIRC

Obviously the most trades you can have left for the last round is 2. If you've managed to make a GF with 18 trades then you've done very well.

More GF teams would have 1 trade or 0 trades. 1 seems to me to be a decent enough safe number given you need to trade to make the GF in the 1st place.

So you plan well and make your GF with 1 trade left. All is good. Then you have round 22 outs of Pods, Brown, Didak, Cooney and Hodge and even 2 trades may not be enough! I know someone who safely left a trade for this week just in case and he'll still have 2 donuts.

Anyway, REB I think you are cursed with bad luck with this happening 2 years in a row.

I had four trades left when the finals started which is my most conserative minor round yet.

Bye bye to Sandilands, Rioli for two, Harbrow for two, Hurn for one, Pods for the granny, Davis, O'Keefe and Pav for one and it's a miracle I even made a granny. Perhaps the best strategy for a league win is to win four elimination finals with trades in hand. But then again, your team at full strength has to be good enough to win those finals. Bugger if I know and it's donuts in the flag column for me.

Am still a slight chance to take out the title....have substituted hodge for henderson off the bench, and pav has come in for pods.....didak being multi position was able to be swapped with goodes and then replaced with luke shuey off the pine.....leaving me with one donut in jonno brown......would still back loathsome in for the flag but stranger things have happened

No Donuts as yet in SC but I am having to rely on Bench cover of Moore and Harwood to cover Hodge, Didak and Brown.
Better in DT and Virtual as still had a trade to upgrade Hodge with.

Well losing Selwood, Enright and Byrnes all from Geelong has cost me all my GF’s except 1.
I now place a curse on Geelong for the 2010 Finals series and Karma will come into play.
