Royals - Lorde @ $1.40 fave

Do I Wanna Know - Arctic Monkeys @ $3.50
Riptide - Vance Joy @ $3.75
Get Lucky - Daft Punk @ $4.50
The rest over 30's

I chucked $5 on Drop The Game - Flume/Chet Faker @$51
I don't see the big fuss but everyone seems to go nuts for that Flume and they play it everyday

Warmest 100 has Royals finishing 8th. Do I Wanna Know 2nd. Riptide 1st. Get Lucky about 15th and Drop The Game at 3rd... So I don't mind that bet.

Looking at the top 100 songs from the last 20 years of music on JJJ that was played mid last year compared to what was dished up yesterday it's like chalk and cheese, Do I smell a rat or are JJJ listeners just that diverse in their music tastes?

The top 10 was pretty representative of the biggest songs that were played on JJJ, it was a pretty boring countdown from the point of view that there weren't any surprises, except for possible Vance joy pipping lorde for top spot.

Useless bit of Trivia, Vance Joy (real name James Keough) played 5 seasons for Coburg in the VFL before concentrating on music...

FWIW I quite enjoyed the countdown. You're never going to please everyone, even myself. Still not sure how Drop The Game made the top 200, let alone top 10.
I think the tastes of JJJ listeners are as diverse as was alluded to, I was one of those to put Yeezy in my votes haha.

^^^ while most of the artists aren't album worthy for me, they're generally easy to listen too. I like that it always leans to Australian tunes and only a few songs ever piss me off.

It's too easy to vote these days. In the past you had to fill out a paper slip and send it in, so only triple j listeners bothered to do it. These days anyone can vote easily, so a lot of people who never really listen to the station vote for crap. Now the crap gets a lot of votes the musical director at JJJ thinks that's what people want to hear, so the station slowly changes to playing a lot of crap.

Not really. It's usually songs that start on JJJ and then crossover to the mainstream radio that then attract the nova votes. I don't think it changes what they play. Music styles just change.
