I wonder how much Do or Die, Blackout, The Meanest of Times and The Warrior's code they will play compared to Going out in Style? I hope they do what the Living End did and play some- not all of their newest album and play a bit of there older songs aswell.

Agreed. Living End managed to play a fair bit of older stuff, truth be known, they didnt give Adelaide folk much time to let the new album grow on us before the tour hit here. About 4 weeks from release to show?

Dropkick's never let you down.

Yea i really enjoyed it. I've been huge Cog and vool fan and pretty much been to every gig both those bands have ever played here since the early days so my opinion probably somewhat biased to someone else's. Can see both there influences in floating me but is a unique sound . I loved it just to watch those two blokes on stage together . As polished musos as ya ever likely to see in Australia. I'd pay to watch Lucuis play drums with saucepans the mans a freak

The Jezabels and Hey Rosetta! played at HQ last night, with Alpine as support.

The Jezabels and Hey Rosetta! were brilliant. Two of the best live acts i've seen. Was good to be able to have a beer with a couple of the members of Hey Rosetta! after the gig too.

A few days ago, Omar Rodríguez-López, who you may know from his work with the Mars Volta and At The Drive In, announced that his was on his way back to Australia in December for a tour. We haven’t had to wait too long for the full tour details with Heathen Skulls, tour promoters for all things dark, heavy and experimental, revealing the dates and venues late last night.

The Omar Rodríguez-López Group features Mars Volta’s current bassist and drummer (Juan Alderete and Deantoni Parks) and Omar will also be playing bass with the tour’s support act – Mexican garage punks Le Butcherettes.

Did anyone here go to the Thousand Needles in Red show last night. Wasnt able to make the gig but was wondering what kind of show they put on and whether Clint performed differently between TNIR and Butterfly Effect. Their debut album is an absolute cracker!

Melissa Etheridge - Tuesday July 17, 2012, Entertainment Centre.

Already cannot wait for this one. One of those performers that I promised to see before I die. :)

Its in the AEC Theatre section, so will be more intimate than the full AEC - will get tickets for this in the next couple of weeks, hopefully. Got a few shows of late that I've lined up, have to be a bit more selective. Still pondering whether to see INXS-ive, who are considered one of the best INXS tribute shows in the country - coming to Adelaide this week for 2 shows.
