A couple that have popped up in recent days:

"Without You" by Motley Crue

"Since I fell for you" Johnny Diesel and the Injectors

Possibly, had I not heard it, quite literally over a hundred times over a three day school camp, I might have liked it more, but its not much different to any number of ballads by "harder rock" bands over the years. The Gunners "Stairway To Heaven" in many ways, talking of very overrated songs.

Four Walls - Cold Chisel
Similar Features - Melissa Etheridge (Saw her live at the Thebby theatre. Awesome show)
November Rain - Guns n Roses (Slash's guitar work in the last minute or so still blows me away)
Nothing Else Matters - Metallica (Fade to Black doesn't qualify unfortunately)
Heaven Can Wait - Meatloaf
I Hope I Never - Split Enz
Choir Girl - Cold Chisel

The list could go on if I put a bit of thought to it but my beer needs a refill.

Cheers

I don't know how I forgot to list this one - one of my favorite ten or so songs of all time, with one of the more beautifully shot videos:
