They put on a great show as always. 7th time I've seen them, but who's counting..

Great to see them having some success and playing in front of some decent crowds.

Only third time for me and They were epic. So damn talented.

Crowd was very small for a Gov show I thought. Back to smaller venues next time around I'd imagine.

And **** me there were a lot of absolute wankers in that crowd. Talking the entire way through. They're not exactly the type of band people would randomly go see, Would have thought everyone there would be really into it and not try and ruin it. Oh well.

Have seen smaller crowds at the Gov, but i guess it's all relative. Perhaps somewhere like Fowlers might be a good option next time.

Yeah I go to quite a few instrumental/post rock gigs and the chatter does really stand out at these. As you mentioned you'd assume that people attending have a reasonable interest in these groups as it's not as it's not top 40/flavour of the month type of music. I was lucky with last week's gig as the people around me were mostly ok, but saw another aussie group We Lost the Sea a month or so back and there was a lot of chatter, especially noticeable as they have fairly mellow/quieter stretches of music. People with short attention spans :)

Shame GnR are playing Adelaide Oval, anywhere else and I'd go for sure, sound is so shit there now, wouldn't pay a dime to watch anyone there.
Might go interstate if time permits though.

When AC/DC played during the redevelopment and faced east with the stage set up in front of the western stand, it was fine. When they played last year at the northern end facing south, it was bouncing around everywhere, not helped by the fact it was windy and they were pretty much finished.

Yeah I went to the first one and missed the second one for those reasons. The $ dictates all shows will be facing south like the Stones did too.
I'll never go to a show there while they do.

Scott Russo toured with Phil Jamieson ( Grinspoon ) last year, they played at The Gov. Russo has either partaken in far, far too much Pale Ale and/or Adelaide's finest home grown. He was, in every sense of the phrase, completely shitfaced.

I remember you saying that in a review on here or might've been another review of that tour I read.
