I believe The Others was an R'n'B band, reckon I saw them in the 80's, had a bit of a bikie following in those days. I've heard of Five Sided Circle. The rest are beyond me.

Leaping Lindner will be the Phone-a-Friend here.

I've heard of a few of them mainly from my older cousin's single collection. The most noteworthy is TRAVIS WELLINGTON and HEDGE which had as a member Graham Goble who went onto further fame with Missisippi and then of course Little River Band. They had a local hit single in the late 60's on RCA "I put a spell on you/Hey Bulldog"
Autumn had a couple of national hits on the Fable label in the early 70s.
Inside Looking Out had one single in the late 60s on festival "HMS Buffalo". I presume their song on this "So Sad about us" is the Who Cover.
The Others have been around forever and had many different line ups. Like Mac saw them in the 80's. Blues band with big bikie following.
Inkase had couple of singles on the Sweet Peach label which had on it amongst other Levi Smith Clefs and Fraternity
Blues Syndicate had one single released on the (national) Leedon label.
Blues Rags and Hollers had one single on Leedon as well....cant remember which Got Love if you want it IIRC. Their claim to "fame" was being runner up to the Masters Apprentices in a local battle of the bands comp.
Also that song Zoot do "I can hear the Grass Grow" is a Move cover. The Move was the band Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne were in prior to forming ELO

Yours etc...
Rainman ;)
"They got Burton suits, ha, you think it's funny, turning rebellion into money"

I have a list of the band members and a brief description on the bands, found in the CD I bought
I was unaware of this info when I started this thread

THE OTHERS
1967
Ian Nancharrow guitar]
Jeff Gurr[base]
Paul Young [drums]
Dave Yelland [vocals]
This band was still performing in 2009, and perhaps still

THE ZOOT
Just some trivia
Were originally a band called Down the Line
A famous local band manager made this comment in 1967
"" You know, you should change your name to something short and punchy like Zoot.""
That great man was Doc Neeson
