Brighton may be disqualified from GF.

A player from Sundays prelim win was not properly cleared from his old club.

Hearing into the matter to take place tomorrow night.

Plenty of panic and quivering dates at bomberland.

The story is true...and how delicious seeing as it was the Bombers who waved the rule book at the Valley last year in the 18's regarding a scenario that was nowhere near as serious as the facts are in this case resulting in 21 boys being let down at Taylors Rd.

...come to think of it, haven't they been serial squealers on a number of relatively minor rule infringements involving several SFL clubs over the last few years? If you want to live by the sword then you must be prepared to die by the sword.

Let's see if the SFL will stand by their precedent from last season (and the HFL's from last season also with the Blackwood B's). Do they want to upset one club or fifteen??

LOL....how'd you like to be the Bombers Club Secretary at the moment? A great cure for loneliness I would suggest.

Surely not, that would mean that Cove,Reynella and Lonsdale would all have case to answer for.It will stand, the SFL would not have either the balls or be silly enough to overturn it.Could end up in court otherwise............

you forget, gothebombers, that this is the same organisation that awarded a bloke the Mail Medal last year and then had to ask for it back due to some administative unpleasantness.

.....so of course they couldn't bungle a permit!

My apologies the teams are incorrect, but you get the jist. The result will stand though, damned if you do,damned if you don't.Comes down to money and the SFL will be paying good coin to hire the ground this week,if they over turn it the game will not go ahead as per scheduled because of liegal issues, and that would mean the SFL will be forced to hire the ground another weekend and they will not do it,if all else fails im sure Pt.Noarlunga would not charge a hire fee....... :D

Taking into account previous incidents in SANFL affiliate leagues this is what has happened in every case:

1.The penalty is not retrospective as then the entire season has to be declared void.
2.The penalty applies to their last game.
3.The penalty is not open to appeal.

ergo, Reynella would play MV this week.

That is only the case within the SFL,im sure the law would over-ride that ruling. I couldnt care either way but I wouldnt want to play in a GF if it was handed to me this way.........

fair call kooka but it certainly didn't seem to upset the Bombers when they cried foul last year.

I am also reliably informed (and I've had it confirmed) that it was not an SFL club that blew the whistle!

Worried people at Bomberland and S.F.L this could be very serious for alot of people, especially the 21 guys who outplayed us Sunday or perhaps the 20 eligible ones. The ruling must be swift and it could upset a few at emuland if they have to play Reynella instead.AMAZING!!!!!

Reports are true, Brighton have been playing someone that has not been cleared from their previous club, he is an association player and if he didn't play on the weekend the bombers wouldn't of beaten reynella.
The Hills league made the precedent last year with Blackwood and the SFL with Happy Valley, looks like a long night tonight at SFL headquarters with some massive decisions to be made.
If Brighton do get disqualified does this mean Reynella will play in the GF or do Reynella play Happy Valley in another elimination final?

So by the understanding of this all, it's not at fault of the league? If thats the case surely after all thats happened then there out. The only sensible option would either Vikings play Winies or A grade already handed to Emus. What a joke bombers what goes around comes around, surely heads will roll if they are out. Interesting times ahead, Maybe the Fly will have the last laugh???

Before everyone starts saying we are out and done something wrong....lets see what the facts are and let the SFL make the call - i am sure they will follow precedent.
