Everyone keeps saying this guy played Rep footy Brighton had Simper, King and Johnstone who were there last week and the other being "Degenhart" but he has played juniors he has just been playing at the Bay last few years. If this is at all true you PRAY that the SFL handle it better then the 18s last year sending a side straight to a GF for whistle blowing was a disgrace. Ow well i'll be up for the Bombers this week someones got to show everyone our leagues more then just Morphett vale GO THE BOMBERS and anyone play the Wineflys. Sorry Fly dont get upset

Prior to the season isn't the rule that if a club does not reply to a requested clearance a player is automatically cleared after 14 days?

That is how it was explained to me and there was a precedent set last year H.V U18'S and Blackwood B grade in the hills league.Brighton admin said to H.V last year "dont you know the rules?" funny about that coming back to bite you.

How embarrassing for you Fly, you as a representative of your club will take a grand final appearance any way you can even though you have been proven on the field are not up to it and this whole forum knows it...

My latest intel does not paint a very good picture for your club and i am hopeful that it is incorrect. It is that your club are driving this bus and are solely responsible for taking this situation to the league... Quite possibly the lowest act i have seen in this competition of which i have been a part of for the last 20 years. I repeat i am hopeful that my info is not correct.

FM, sounds like you have a copy of the rule book, can you pass it onto the SFL and Reynella to clear this up.

And Fly.. I think I have the same intel as 'the mexican', Better left on the field then off the ground....

I think you will find Mexican that it has been driven by a club from outside of S.F.L and has been brought to the attention of the leauge that way.I am just talking on this forum about it like all of you why would i be embarrased i would think Brighton admin would be the only embarrased people in this whole thing not R.F.C.

Just got off the phone to a reliable source and the RFC is definately driving the bus Mexican. Sounds like that annual wager with the MVFC has cost them a bit this time. They probably haven't paid up yet either.

This has been interesting reading but it seems to me that this is nothing more than a feeble and somewhat embarrassing attempt by Reynella FC to get what they couldn't on the footy field.......a shot at the flag. You lost the Prelim Reynella, you weren't good enough so get over it. Stop behaving like the proverbial Red Headed Step Child throwing a tantrum because you cant get what you want. Go to your room and don't come out until next season!

No need to go on the defensive fly, I understand there are some tough times ahead for yourself and the RFC with a mass loss of players etc in 08. Be humble mate... a last ditch attempt of playing in a GF this way, it's just sad and pathetic mate.

And Turk the Warrior, I'm sorry mate. It's just like fishing with dynamite. You can understand how fun it is.

So does anyone know the rule, is he ok to play or not.

saafl rules that if the clearance is replied or refused in 14 days it auto clearance but the club and league still have to reg this player for his new club. not sure rules on sfl but youd think theyd be sim.

Fly, I hope the feeling of excitement about your clubs low act and the possibility of making a GF quickly fades into nothing. Your club will be even more hated for what has happened if it turns out that you have been driving the bus...

On the wager when the two teams meet, Reynella havent been coughing up as much in recent times and declining the offer of a bet. Funny how they were always keen to get a large bet on when they thought they were a sure thing...or maybe there isnt enough money to go around anymore at Winefly land with the arrival of Butcher etc...

Would have to agree with what the PAVlova. Despite previous precedents, rules and hearings at the end of it all Brighton will be playing M/Vale on saturday in the GF. I'm sure Reynella will be livid about it, as probably would be Valleys and Lonsdale but thats life.

If Reynella were to get the nod to play in GF then surely they will seek another time to play the game, league will need to organise ground - there are a 100 issues that would need to be sorted. It would just be a laughing stock.

BREAKING NEWS: The complaint has been chucked out!!!!!!

The SFL has looked at the complaint and dismissed the lot.

All Reynella (the bus drivers) had was a 2004 team sheet from another club outside the league with the players name on it.

As I said earlier. nothing changed. MVFC vs BDOS. and the player is cleared to play.

Sorry Fly. Your season is officially over!

Just heard the same thing Spike. Issue is done and dusted. Morphett Vale v Brighton on saturday. If I was from the RFC I'd be going off somewhere to hide now. Your B grade will probably cop some flak from the sidelines on sat though.
