No change am bays , this programme is to identify the 2nd tier .
The pathway structure to Glenelg , South Adelaide , West Adelaide will continue and any standouts in the academy programme will be directed to league clubs.

Except to say an U18 coming back from SANFL may not have a junior grade to play in..

Considering 19yo's have played U18's in the past, Im guessing there will be over-agers allowed in the u17.5

Correct ,as per last year but not sure of cut off.

Surely if a player is coming back from the SANFL U/18s, it would be better for their development to play senior football.

Surely someone coming out of the SANFL U/18 system would be able to get at least a B-Grade game

The SANFL has not declined quite that far yet

Had plenty of times last year where we had SANFL Under 18s return (either not selected that week, had the bye, returning from injury etc) and don't reckon they ever even came up for selection in our senior sides.

Maybe at some of the lower clubs they would certainly be useful, but if they are that good then either the SANFL Club will not be dropping them or when they have the bye they won't be allowed to play for their local Club.

For many years the SANFL ran U/19s while we were either U/18s or U/17s - when was this an issue then?

In previous years clubs could apply for players who are U19 during the season to be able to play as overage players. Flagstaff Hill are going to ask if this is continuing at the Juniors AGM

Dunna I would go as far to say Dinga wasnt that bad but the return of the hometown hero last year doesnt look to have drawn too many signings...

Didnt go last night but did hear from a mate that there is a new b grade coach and someone got the "Chop" Pretty disappointing I reckon

If true, not all that surprised. Both have been great contributors to the club and rapidly approaching the end of their footy days. Couldn't blame them if they sought out a few extra $$ and a premiership opportunity. Still plenty of recruiting time to go yet and a number of young guys who got blooded last year will be better for it. Will have to wait and see what happens.

With the report in the Sunday mail of a bumper snake season coming up , appears the Cobras have emerged from the cold and struck multiple times for 2017!

Anyone from Cove confirm?
