Agree. Whilst Reynellla's visitor rooms are very small, at least they're clean and functional.
Brighton's definitely do need some work (assuming they haven't changed since last year), but it's nothing that coul;dn't be pretty simply fixed.
Last time I was there the lights didn't work in the toilet area and it smelt like a vintage urinal. Maybe it's a cunning plan....

Might have to wait on Corey Wingard to get into a Government position now.

What were the issues at the President's meeting? Was this in regards to the 'Future Directions' thing?

OK so we are almost half way through the 2014 season.

What are peoples thoughts on some of the positives and some of the negatives that have come from the season so far?

Who are the players making a name for themselves in the league with their skills?

Positives are easy:

More competitive teams this year from Pt Noarlunga, Noarlunga, Flagstaff, Christies and Hackham.
A lot more matches where the scoreline is less predictable and the margins have narrowed.

Negatives:
Still no real direction from the SFL on any changes to improve the league.
Continuing uncompetitive squads from Aldinga, Lonsdale and Marion.
A lot of teams unabl;e to field a full complement of junior sides = scheduling headaches for all.

Things have improved, but not through anything other than the hard work of the individual clubs involved.

Positives for me would be:
- A Much more competitive competition. Games such as Christies, Flagstaff Hill and Even Hackham are certainly not easy. With the improvement of Shoes, Cockledivers and cove, along with Valleys, Flies, Emu's, Roos, Bombers, will make for a very tight competition for final 4 and 8.
- The weather for games (bar last weekend) has been great, meaning most ovals are holding up well. Even Brighton is still in good nick.

Negatives:
There are still a few clubs letting down a highly competitive league. Ie Marion, Aldinga, Lonsdale.

Could be improved:
- Night Games... Ie a friday night, OR Saturday night. Would draw a few crowd who wouldnt normally attend.
- Scheduling with lack of some junior teams makes for a nightmare of trying to get your volunteers in one place, Ie Trainiers, boundary umps. etc.

Some Stand out Players I have seen play this year:

W. Johncock from Shoes... Absolutely tore up the bombers.
Johnny Eagleton from Valley... Just too good.
Good to See a lot of young Lads in the Cobra's B's last few years, finally getting a crack (and proving worthy) at A grade.

I also have heard the rumour (emphasize rumour); if the A Grade coach does exit then 20 odd players will.

Interesting. Have heard so much praise for the coach over the last 12 months, wonder what could trigger this at this stage of a season?
When's the clearance deadline? I'm sure there'll be a number of clubs interested in a few of their topline players.
