Nope not coming from Staggy, lets test your knowlesge LK, can you think of any other players that left Morphies and went to Amateurs? Heres a hint, he went to Goodwood.

And im only going on his comments, being a Southerner i have never seen a SAAFL match in my life!

But that Champions League would be an ace idea, its just getting rid of that "its only a trial match" attitude that would be the problem. Perhaps a massive $$$ incentive would get clubs primed for it?

And this might be a bit far fetched, but respective leagues giving the participants of these Champions league macthes an "easier" start to the year ie byes if the league has them, or even playing the weaker clubs early in the year? Just a thought...

My guess was going to be Andrew Stagg / Aaron Landorf; but Goody Saints you say? Those brothers left Goodwood for Goolwa the Wilson boys but they weren't at M/Vale were they?

Here is my take on the SFL equivalents which will never ever be proven!:

MV=1 [& finals]
HV=2/3
Reynella=1/2 [yo-yo like Seaton Ramblers]
Cove= 3 [the occasional rise to Div 2?]
Porties= 3/4
Flaggys=4
Noarlunga 4
Marion 5
Aldinga 6
Hackham - FOLD
Lonsdale 4/5
Brighton 2 [PHOS of late always ok but never promoted...]

Yeah I was thinking one of the Wilsons too. Would think Port Noarlunga would be a top teir div 3 side, Same with cove. Morphy Parks bottom half div 6 and I think hackham will have a better side this year so ill put them in the same category. Also forgot Christies but i'd have them in div 5.

After seeing Morphy pks yesterday and their unusualy shaped oval, i think they would do very well in Div6. They were young fit and hard at the ball. Their downfall i reckon is their workrate when they dont have the ball, but they were pretty impressive. One of their blokes said that they have spent some money on players from Broken Hill. Not sure if that was this season or not though.
Thats what im talkin aboooouuuut!!!!!!

Port District are playing Brighton this week, what will Brighton be like? Fairly competitive i guess.
District should be close to fall strength, Steed will miss, Maddern and Perry prob have a run in the B's. Christofis, Clarke and Lynch should play.
