I think most clubs with C grade would be in the same boat. They would have players from the B grade front for a second game on a Sunday. I dont think to many clubs would be happy with the guys playing Friday night then fronting up Saturday lunchtime. In the u18 time slot?? Where would the 18's then play?? if we pushed the time back any further the 14 would be starting in the dark.

Against moving the C's from Sunday, a lot of decent footballers work on Saturday and would essentially rule out players doubling up (can't play c's, then b's).

If you did move the C's to before the magoo's, you'd move the 14's to sunday.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

I think you be surprised about how many grounds are suitable for night grounds

Played a night game at O'sullivans beach many years ago, brilliant oval.

The Under 18 slot would only be used when an U/18 game is not scheduled ie against OSB/Lonsdale, Sullies, Aldinga

Why are we dicussing changing C-Grade.

Surely this is not in response to E/town coming into SFL.

Why would we change anything for them.

They just become another club in the SFL without juniors. This stuffs up Saturdays when we play them. Not to mention the bye.

Don't let them stuff up Sundays as well.

I believe this all came about from a proposal Brighton put to the league and has little if anything to do with Edwardstown.

Surely they will stay on a Sunday. The whole reason its there is for people to busy with work commitments. People on a 9-5 shift, coming home from the city then have to play footy within an hour or two just wouldnt work. I know a couple of sides would already be dead against it.

The SAAFL quite succesfully play triple headers where the C's play twi-light Saturday night straight after the A's. Not only do people hang around the club to watch and cheer on it is a tremendous atmosphere and a good laugh. Raises bar revenue, keeps people at presentations and is a good way for everyone at the club to feel like equal contributors. Of course you can mix it up and play the A's at night or even the B's......

i like it!!

sounds like a winner to me! that way, alot of the players that play C's because of work commitments would hopefully still be able to play on the saturday night.

Trust me fellas it's good, take it to the league. I reckon more people would play aswell and more clubs would get a C grade if it was a regular occurance.
