Wasn't the best performance but puts us on the brink of the next round. Keeper pulled off some decent saves but we were a bit complacent at times

We are 3-0 up in the first half, Timmy with a hattie.
I've seen better front yards in Elizabeth than this joke of a pitch, fair dinkum looks like a paddock

Australia belted the mighty Tajiks last night 7-0 at Adelaide Oval. Tajikistan's stirring national anthem 'In my country there is problem' had barely finished when went 1-0 up, and I knew it wasn't going to be much of a contest from there on in.

The crowd of 35,000, on a wettish night right before Easter against a minnow was very good, considering some of the average crowds they get interstate in much bigger population centres. Hopefully there'll be more Socceroos games here soon...

There will be more here for sure, just not the big draw cards.

RB wrote:I wouldn't underestimate Tajikistan, Jim. They've got some world class players, in fact some of the best players in the Tajikistani League play for them. With Makhmudov in the engine room, they could be lethal if we allow Fatkhuolev too much space. Tokhirov must be well-marked as well if we're to have any chance, and, as always, I expect Rajabov to be a rock in defence. Very much looking forward to Socceroos v Tajikistan, hopefully we'll see another chapter written in this epic rivalry.

You were saying. Probably should have been 10-0 but 7-0 will do. Well played RB

3-0 at half time over Jordan

Kruse 3 assists
Cahill 2 goals
Mooy with the other

Can pretty much say the Socceroos are into the next round of qualification

Jordan could well miss out altogether

Jordan aren't guaranteed yet

Top of each group goes through then it's the next best 4 second place teams

Yeah, thought they had done enough already though.
I'd forgotten about a couple of midweek results that changed the outlook

Finished 5-1.
Disgraceful tackle on Kruse should of been a straight red but the Korean ref gives a yellow
