Brave Chile :D
Lucky Hosts.
I liked 'Golden Goal' - Penalties suck, surely there's a better alternative to be had?

I like to put all my bets on before start of Tournament, every World Cup.
I enjoy going through the draw, making predictions & betting accordingly - been doing so since France '98.

I have Germany @ $8 & France @ $21 because I predicted a 1/4 Final clash between them - hence definite Semi Finalist.
Argentina were too short for me but took Germany v Argentina Final @ $17 (also had Spain v Argentina & Italy v Argentina)
They had the 'dream' draw on that side of the draw & were always definite Semi Finalists IMHO but $5.50 before the start of the competition is too short for me.

The result I want though is Muller to win Golden Boot @ $34 each way (paying 4 dividends).
So best result for me is Germany win by beating Argentina in the Final, with Muller scoring more goals than Messi between now & then
Possible but unlikely.
We shall see.

As far as Golden Goal goes, it could be modified by removing players from the pitch or some other modification to the teams.
Anything has to be better than penalties.

This is exactly my point to many Liverpool fans (thankfully many also "get it"). Noones arguing the blokes onfield threat and skill, but what good is he in the stands? (Or in this case a different country)

Reckon the Dutch and Germans might have a say in proceedings. No one is giving the Europeans any chance but I rate them both higher than Argentina
