How many points did Bogut end up with? I saw up toe 3/4 time, and he was doing nothing.

I don't know if this has been posted anywhere else on the forum, but I watched the Boomers game on here last night

allsportsnation.com

There is 38 feeds dedicated to the coverage of the Olympics. Some people had trouble with it, but worked fine with me running Internet Explorer and windows Media Player 11. Apparently doesn't work with Firefox.

At the time of posting, the score is Argentina 20, Australia 3.

We may have to consider changing our name from Boomers to Bummers, or maybe Bloopers. At the moment, I can't recall seeing an Aussie basketball team play like such a rabble.

It's looking pretty horrible at the moment. Campaign is effectively over.

Yeah, great decision to sack Smyth and bring in Goorjian wasn't it?

IMHO we are using Bogut in the wrong way. He's a defensive centre who might get a few good inside looks but will normally get a fair amount of his points off offensive rebounds. BG should stop trying to use him as if he were a dominating offensive centre in the Nowitzki mould.

CJ Bruton, yet again, looks out of his depth. Mills looks great. Would love to see his 3 point shooting improve but looks NBA quality potential that aside IMHO. Should be starting. Newley looks a superb foil for him and that Barlow is great. Never heard of him. If we can pick up another good big man to go with those 4 (like even Mark Bradtke standard) we have a good solid core of players for 10 years.

Worthington, Nielson, and Andersen don't look up to it either. Goorjian should realise that just because he's been a players club coach for a long time doesn't make them international standard. Too many ex kings players for a club that was the best for a little while, but not by so much their entire starting line up is international standard!

I'm no expert, but that seems like a pretty good assessment there Grahaml.
Mills did look good when he came on to replace Bruton last night.

Watching the Argentina game I was thinking they could do worse than to pluck Andrew Gaze from the commentary desk to shoot a few 3 pointers

Surely these Olympics will be the last International Tournament that we will we have to put up with crap coaching / tatics / team selections all the result of having that arrogant Brian Goorjian in charge.

I'm almost hoping Iran beats us today to ensure that the nails in the Goorjian coffin can be firmly hammered in!

Didnt get to see any of it. Do you know if they started Mills? To have any chance of progressing he needs to play at least 30 mins a game.

Did anyone see the large rotund guy playing for Greece against the USA last night?
He is one huge unit! The guy commentating (sounded like Andrew Gaze?) said he took a few weeks off last season to check into a weight loss clinic, and that it looks like he needs a few more weeks at the clinic

I know Boy Goorj and CJ Bruton have a long history but he HAS to give Mills the starting point role!! The kid is a gun and is sure to play NBA after this college season. An ESPN reporter who covered the warmup game between us and the dream team stated that Mills was the quickest player he's seen since Iverson. Give the kid a go.
