I don't see it as relevant. She chose a cash over team, letting that slide would set a dangerous precedent.

IMHO, Macleod should be playing in front of Harrower.

So you wouldn't let her go because she decided to play for the team that allows her to make a living off basketball. She is Australia best female guard something that we are missing from our current team and would actually give us a chance of winning a medal. It would be funny if Lauren Jackson did the same thing I bet she would still be playing. And it's also funny how well the 3 month camp did our team seeing there the slowest and unfit team in the comp

Maybe the players would be fitter if they were actually playing games at a competitive level rather than some stupid training camp

Well training camp and a full WNBA season didn't help Cambage and her fitness!

Cambage hasn't played wnba since October because she opted to go to the opals training camp instead of starting the year in the wnba

Keep waiting for Slambage to really dominate.

Then I remember she's still only 20!

Tonight would be pretty timely...

i think we'll have to wait until rio to see her really shine. Can already see the improvment in her this olympics. She starting to demand the ball a bit more. She the second tallest person at the olympics she should be dominating the inside, but with the coach we have you ain't going to see that, i think she's lucky to be starting

Great start for the aussies. A little poor early on looking after the ball and keeping the US off the offensive boards, but that's been a theme so far. Cambage has given them nightmares, but I still think we look better playing more through Jackson. Cambage is big enough and good enough that she'll win her own ball and with Jackson spreading the floor, Cambage will find oodles of space.

Lost offensive rhythm in the third.

Lack of penetration hurt.

US zone too hard to crack...

Thought about writing a long post detailing what we did right and what we did wrong but feels pointless now. 4 years time Cambage will hopefully have more petrol in the tank and more of an all round game, but Jackson might be a spent force by then. Penny Taylor was hurt during the tournament last time and I thought it hurt us badly, this time around I think not having her at all hurt us even more. I'm also not satisfied the coach is doing a great job, the girls were very sloppy throughout the tournament.

Logged a-lot of minutes over the years.

But hopefully she hangs around.

Pretty handy coming off the bench!

sloppy

That about sums it up!

grath won't be coaching the opals for much longer. From the rumors floating around there's certain things in place in the opals that are directly helping canberra.
