Chappell for mine just kept going on and on and on about it and didn't mention one positive aspect of Renshaws innings

I fact I don't think Chappell mentioned one positive comment about cricket that referred to anything that happened after 1970

He was off getting treatment on a shoulder injury, he hadn't been back on the field long enough to erase the time he'd been off the field. Faf heard the umpire and Smithy talking about it, that's why he called the declaration when he did.

Masterstroke by Smith. Dangled a carrot and made SA give up a few runs. Made sure Renshaw's beginning was as familiar as possible and protected Warner who no doubt wouldn't have found it so easy to just bat for stumps.

Renshaw exposed to a pink ball for 12 overs in his 1st Test was a masterstroke and familiar to him? How could it be, he'd never done it before!

Do you really think so? Would've been a dangerous time to commence an innings and stuff around Usman, came out ok in the end but sitting at 0-2 I wouldn't be messing around with batting orders and roles.

There was no dangled carrot by Smith unless his an amazing actor.

He and Warner were filthy and remained on the pitch 'chatting' which was more like arguing with the umpires for almost 5 minutes after the deceleration had been made.

Right up until they got the ground Smith was looking to speak the match official to get clarification

Think if Warner was on the ground for that last over before the declaration he would have been ok, but he didn't make it back in time before it started so missed out.

As appetising a choice as whether you'd like dogshit or horseshit thrown at you, either way you're getting covered in shit. Warner,Maxwell and Wade in one side, that's way over any side's maximum dickhead quota.

Good start, Finch gone already.
