I think teams are to weak and don't move in for the kill to enforce a follow on. Especially if your bowlers are getting wickets at a fast rate. When you have the team's jugular in your hands. You tighten the grip. You don't release the pressure and allow them to get back into the game. Take risks.

I wouldn't have batted again. Go for the throat, let the spinners bowl a shitload of overs, quicks in very short bursts and get em ready for India.

I reckon about 420, if Australia declare halfway through this evening's session. Pakistan incapable of scoring such a large total quickly. That'll allow us to.polish them off with the second new ball after tea tomorrow, if need be.

More so after Melbourne test of 2002-03

Enforced the follow on but England backed up the truck in the 2nd dig and McGrath and Warne got injured (side strain and shoulder) asa result of fatigue.

We won by six wickets, IIRC, on the last day however next test England won by 225 runs despite S Waugh's ton on the 2nd day.

Add that to the Kolkata experience when we couldn't back up at Delhi three days later and Follow-ons became as rare as rocking horse sh!t.
