Clarke has stayed in London...

Or Clarke continued on to London in his private car......Northampton is on the way to London from Nottingham.....

The Poms could well spank us and make it 4-1 but if we get on top early I won't be surprised if they fold ala Lords and we win in under 4 days. Surely the boys will want to send Pup off the right way.

A few things of interest in this Test which is hard to get myself up for after losing the Ashes with the abysmal 4th test effort...

1) Pups last test. I have always loved the guy and will watch every ball he faces in his last two knocks. Hopefully he keeps me awake til the wee hours
2) Who fights and saves their test careers
3) What new blood gets a crack. I would play MMarsh and Cummo. Nothing to lose.
4) Who else officially retires at the Tests conclusion. Haddin, Rogers?
5) Watching Wato carry the drinks

Rogers already announced before the Ashes started that he would be retiring at the end of the series.

Already gone:

Clarke
Rogers
Harris

Unlikely to picked in a Test squad again:

Haddin
Watson
Voges
S. Marsh
Siddle
Ahmed

The form and confidence of our middle order doesn't look good on paper. FFS they spudded up against a mid table County Div 2 side

Maybe it's time the Ashes were no longer a five-Test series. ;)

It has become a nightmare tour and this is really concerning, our first two tour games were successful and guys were finding some form and now it's been shot to pieces. I can't help but worry about the near future once Clarke and more importantly Rogers go, looks like we'll have a fair few rough times ahead. It goes without saying, alot rests on the shoulders of Smith and Warner now.

I hope Clarke makes runs as well. He's wearing the Baggy Green.

Maybe we should give Jake Doran a crack - 721 runs @ 103 for the Aus 19's.. his last 4x innings v England 19's have yielded 3x 50's and 1x 100
