Thought it would be good to have a thread on this given the IPL is underway, The County season started last night as well a few A and Under 19 tours getting underway shortly. If there is another thread here my apologies!

Lots of runs last night in County Cricket but not many Australians.

Tom Cooper made 47 before falling, Voges, Cosgrove and Hastings all bowled (Cossie only 2 overs) with Voges the only one to trouble the wicket column.

Also KP knocked up 170 against a uni side, Guptill knocked up 160 odd and retired, Jaques Rudolph made a hundred in his first game as captain.

Cosgrove, Voges, Handscomb should all bat tonight.

IPL last night was a good night for the Aussies.

George Bailey hit a match winning 61* (Man of the Match) Mitch Johnson 3* and Maxwell 6 were the other two Australians that made it too the crease in the win for Punjab

Johnson knocked over Aaron Finch (8) and took 2/23 off 4.

For anyone heading over for the Ashes this year or in the future I highly recommend attending a day of the County Championship or Tour match. Attended the Tour Game in Worcester last UK tour and it was one of the best social days I've ever had at the cricket. Helped by the relaxed nature Worcestershire's home ground policy of being allowed to bring in 4 cans of beer (imperial pint) with you......Bought a 6 pack at 9am from the supermarket drank 2 on the way to the game, got lucky with the weather as it was cold enough not to need an esky and didn't have to buy one at the ground until after lunch and Watto was already on 100!

Seems the Redbacks curse has followed Tom Cooper to England......County side Somerset loses by an innings in 3 days to newly promoted Worcestershire. Somerset are now bottom of Division 1.

Up the Pears!
