Expect Valente to carry the drinks. From a Grade club perspective thanks SACA

These 4 days can't go quick enough. The Redbacks just need to wipe this season from their memories and focus on the next one.

Are we using slips cradles instead of bats? To paraphrase Doug Walters, "[They]'ll be fishing by 2:30 day 3......"

Now Ludeman out caught in slips also, 7/110.

That is 5 catches to Forrest in slips, would that be some sort of record?

One of Berry's worse decisions was getting rid of Georgey, had a great year and was always going to do well against us today.

Would have enjoyed getting his good mate Kelvin out too!

Was this Berry's decision? I m not sure how much say he has in squad selection - This was shown pretty well by the fact as soon as he went on leave our Captain was told not to bother anymore, We have a young inexperienced leader thrown in and seemingly a few strikers were ok too look elsewhere.

To be fair George was going backwards in SA. Either it was the high performance staff failing at their job yet again or it was George himself. Obviously West Torrens blokes know him very well, I'm going to go with the SACA high performance department failing again.

Was definitely Berry's decision. He said to the Under 19 State squad at start of year it was one of the toughest decisions he has had to make, as Georgey is such a nice bloke.

Georgey was stitched up, got picked for the first Shield game last year on a flat Bay wicket and struggled to take wickets ( as all our bowlers did, and have continued to struggle this year),

Bowling on pitches like the Gabba, shows he still has what it takes. He was bowling brilliantly second half of last season for WT, back to his best. Besides Sayers and Richardson, he was our next best pace bowler, no question.

But Berry loves Worrell (god knows why!!), Mennie (struggles at this level), Putland ( finished now, too many injuries). Doubt Benton or Valente would take wickets at Bay Oval with their lack of pace.

Fantastic to see him join the queue of players to be moved on/ leave and stick it up the SACA!!
