I think the 3 highlighted in your team for the upcoming Ashes tour in England are very questionable. There are boys seriously knocking down at theirs doors and I wouldn't be surprised if 2 of the 3 aren't in that tour this year.

Reading an article yesterday he would like to be considered if they want to play 2 front line spinners.

Ive been following Ahmed during the 20/20. He can turn the ball quite alot and he has a mean wrong-un. I would definately like to see how he goes. England conditions would really suit him.

Not sure Harris is quite that close to the end. I get the feeling he'll go out kicking and screaming like Mark Waugh. Cowan the obvious bloke to come in as opener. I also think if you've got Watson in the side he should bat 3. If he isn't doing enough to hold #3 he doesn't have a place in the team IMHO. I particularly don't see the selectors doing a simple swap with Burns. If Burns remains then I think it's 5 or 6. Reckon Hazlewood stays ahead of Cummins and Pattinson. When Harris goes it might be very, very hard to leave Jackson Bird out.

Can't imagine Boof or Clarke would be in favour of having both Bird and Hazlewood in the side together, especially if two of Johnson, Cummins, Pattinson and Starc are available.

Is that your opinion on how many wickets he took?? Because Im pretty sure he had alot of runs made against him as well. There were other bowlers that took less wickets but had no where near as many runs made against them.

Agree with you there. But that would be the norm for spinners to bowl more ovals on spin friendly wickets than for quicks. If our pitches were like the WACA. A spinner would bowl less overs I would imagine.
I just think its time we looked for a wrist spinner than stick with a finger spinner.

There seems to be this notion that we need to find the next Shane Warne right away. Even though I believe that wrist spin is the superior version of spin, why rush a less superior spinner in just for being a wrist spinner? Lyon is by far the best spinner in the country at the moment. Was the most dangerous bowler in the attack for a majority of the series on batsmen friendly wickets.
Even when Lyon isn't as dangerous, he's very much a partnership bowler. His role of constricting runs at one end whilst Harris/Johnson attack from the other end.
