I think Maxwhirlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll will struggle against good quick bowlers at Test level
His batting against spin is a plus
Perhaps horses for courses ?
Play him in the sub continent or spinning decks

One thing for sure, if he succeeded at Test level he would be fantastic to watch [like Warner]

This story put a smile on my face.

Brilliant story. Looks like he wasn't out of place at all letting through minimal byes and taking a ripper catch.

Although couldn't Haddin let him borrow a couple of pairs of inners for extra padding to keep to Mitch?

He probably did haha. Imagine the adrenalin that lad would have had going through his veins when Mitch rocked up, probably 20kph quicker than he has ever seen before

Yes very worrying signs from what I've watched of the highlights. Pakistan A were able to make 300 in both innings relatively easy while our boys struggled to get to 250. Hopefully we're just blowing out the cobwebs and will be right for first test!!

Surely we can't concede a test match loss to Pakistan this tour.

Only a trial game fellas settle down.

In the first innings the blonde don was retired on 58, had he kept batting the total and game could have been completely different.

Luckily we dont play Pakistan A in the Test matches, we play a team that is more interested in their bottom line

Really interested in this series

The Aussies under Boof have been brilliant in conditions that suit.

There last sub continent series performance was terrible so this may be a tricker series than it would first appear.

For me the Aussies key with the bats are

Clarke- best bat, best player of spin, has the ability to bat long periods which imho is crucial in the sub continent

Smith- very good player of spin and the in form bat of the moment

With the ball I think Johnson will be the key again, can he get anything out of the surfaces,

Pakis won the toss and chose to bat.

That's a big help to them.

Wait for Pakistan to be 0/100, Aussies odds go out to around $2.50 or more and then put your house on us.
