Head and McBerserk will be unavailable but Carey should be available to play

Hunt - Last Chance
Smith - I don't care there is no one else
McSweeney (C)
Carey
Kelly
Scott
McAndrew
Manenti
Buckingham
Agar
Johnson - If available? if not play Pope

Why do we have so many bowlers on the list???? Doggett Grant Conway all solid FC cricketers but do we need 3 of them when the batting is so thin.

Have feeling they may play Harry Neilson as a batter, nobody has put their hand up to play so gives them excuse to play him

I wonder if Johnson might not get picked as they'll use the excuse that he hasn't had enough red ball cricket (none of the bowlers have in the past month due to BBL). I'd think Kelly would have been one to put his hand up - weekend before BBL scored an unbeaten ton in the 2ndX1 and then 2 days later another unbeaten ton for Sturt. Didn't get an opportunity to bat last weekend because Adelaide failed to prepare a pitch. Liam Scott will be given yet another opportunity.

How bout giving Winter a game, cant be any worse. Even Kann, we can play Dizzbball. May as well be all out for 200 in 30 overs than drag it out for 70 overs

They need to persist with him and play him for the rest of the season.
I’m not sure he’s up to it at this level but at least give the young lad a good run at it to see.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

And to no one’s surprise Pucovski is experiencing the effects of delayed concussion and has been withdrawn from the Shield game.
Staggering that medicos allowed him to return to the crease after he was hit

Unfortunately, this isn’t going to end well for him.

https://www.saca.com.au/news/3875139/sh ... v-victoria

Squad of 13 v Victoria: Jake Lehmann (C), Nathan McSweeney (VC), Wes Agar, Jordan Buckingham, Jake Carder, Brendan Doggett, Henry Hunt, Thomas Kelly, Ben Manenti, Nathan McAndrew, Harry Nielsen (WK), Lloyd Pope, Liam Scott

From the last Shield game, out of the XI is Carey and Fraser-McGurk.
In to the XIII man squad is Nielsen, Pope, Buckingham and Kelly.

Surprised Spencer Johnson hasn't been picked? And Carey, I presume is resting? Fraser-McGurk and Head in the Australia ODI squad.

Carder survives

No Carey leaves a huge hole, from that 13 I predict

Hunt
Carder
McSweeney
Lehmann
Kelly
Scott
Nielsen
McAndrew
Manenti
Agar
Buckingham

Tough decision between Buckingham and Doggett

I'd like to give Pope a game but not sure how you would fit him in unless you drop Manenti which is unlikely.
