Did Putland get injured yesterday? Only bowled a handful of overs.

SACA probably instructed him to bowl limited overs.

Cam Valente had no restrictions yesterday but given Gaz's injury history a possible explanation.

Did his calf in second over of the day. Heard him say that he is probably retiring from all forms of cricket now, think his body has had it. Was pretty shattered.

26 Shield games, 92 wickets at 30. Pretty solid record. Won a few matches for us. What a shame his body didn't allow him to get the most out of his ability.

Was a quality bowler but the injuries have plagued him for years now and he's 30yo so it's only going to get worse, not better.

Highlight of his career, bowling the last over in the One Day final when Tassie only needed 4? to win it. Tie was enough, magnificent scenes that day!!

we need a senior captain so bad :( Trav is getting worse each week, needs the pressure of captain taken away
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Is this Weatherald's debut?

Lehmann is our best bat at the moment, hopefully they can build a good partnership and bat out most of the day.

So Darwin Cricket Club would be the most represented grade team in the SA side this match with two players: Weatherald and Andrews????

will ommit the fact that Weathers moved to Traceys last season in darwin, good Eagles junior though
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Agree, but apparently SACA made the decision to leave him to complete the NZ tour. Strange one when he is the best bowler in the squad and was never in the hunt for a Test Match.
