Play Head as an extra batter and bowl him instead of bringing in another spinner.
Renshaw to make way for Head.
IF Green is fully fit he comes in for Handscomb.
Starc in for Boland too.
Davey gets one more chance

I agree but won’t happen

So you're saying Green and Kuhners for Renshaw and Boland?

Yep

Has merit.

There is a big chance Kuhnemann will make his Test debut today.

Looked like he was ready to play this morning.

This is the dumb shit that keeps us where we are, f*** the shock selections off and concentrate on winning each match then series as they come.

Pick our best XI available and let them work their craft.

Maybe they really want that point of difference you mentioned above? When it was announced that Kuhnemann was traveling over there I thought he could be a very good chance to play because like Murphy the Indians haven't really seen and faced him before like they've seen both Agar and Swepson various times in various formats and perhaps that's why he might get a game ahead of Agar.

As for Starc, he didn't sound like he was 100% confident that he was fit to play when asked about his finger in a press conference on Wednesday.

Green is the key, he plays then we can debut Kuhnemann, personally I'd love to squeeze him in but we have to make sure we're scoring more than 177 & 91.

If Kunhemann is playing we must be playing three spinners or Green is playing.

I think Brodlach is George Bailey. It's the only way we can.

Head won't be playing.

Correct, our inability to make runs is a huge issue.

Load up on all the bats, and get through the overs with part timers.
We'd still lose, but might at least make it to lunch on day 4.

Warner
Khawaja
Lab - 5
Smith - 6
Renshaw
Handscomb
Green - 2
Head - 4
Carey
Boland - 1
Murphy - 3

Won't happen though.

Cummins will play despite clearly being outbowled by Boland last test.
Lyon will survive despite refusing to bowl differently in India than he does on the bouncy Aussie decks.
Head will be mixing cordial again.
And yeah, I recon they'll try and slip in the new bloke cause the indians haven't seen much of him.

Interestingly our 4 bowlers from last test all took 5 fa (or more) on debut. Just shows how much batsmen rely on video analysis and becoming comfortable with the bowlers they are facing. Anyone new and it takes a few tests before they work out how to face them.

Spinners aren’t going to help improve our scores of 177 and 91 but Head might.
If Green can’t bowl then he doesn’t play IMO

Gerard Whateley has just said Head & Handscombe definitely playing from what he can gather by looking at the ground right now (warm ups).

Lyon and Murphy have painted their run up marks, no sign of Kuhnemann....but is in his whites having a photo taken.

No sign of Green either.

So either Renshaw or Warner out
You’d assume Renshaw
