I hope he shows resolve again tonight and that rubs off.

This is the golden opportunity to set the series up.

Yep, the last thing we need tonight is them getting a quick wicket.

Height of summer in Adelaide the sun sets about 20:45, sunset is scheduled for 21:45 in Birmingham tonight.

Being further North than we are South, they've always added to play after the schedule close over there.

Are you suggesting their change their geographic location for our benefit Dutchman?

Birmingham sunrise is 4.44am so I see no issue in starting early, like it would here, my main issue is why is there different rules depending on where the test is played?

This should be in the sh!ts thread and I should've posted it a couple of years ago when I saw a F***tard wearing one in the crowd at the Adelaide oval

But surely there is a special place in hell reserved for the low-lifes who buy a "baggy green" on Ebay and wear it to test matches.

There's only 466 people who have earned the right to wear that cap.

Seen a couple of crowd shots over the last few days and have dry-retched.

Citizenship should be revoked.

Give every Australian one so we don't have to listen to Langer bang on about them. That'd be better.

Can we do the same with the Prison Bars?

Australia favoured to win
EG have no quality spinner
Sit off Jimmy Stewie and Ollie and the game is in the bag
Australia by 4 wickets

Yep should be able to bring it home from here.
Just need to hold on till lunch and let the runs come.
This is where the middle order earn their pay.

looking at the radar looks like about 3 hours of torrential downpours then clearing around 9.30

At this stage I have the Poms as slight favourites, on the grounds that when wickets start to fall in Day 5 of a test match, they tend to fall fairly rapidly. If Boland gets out early which is likely, we'd need to make another 80 or so without loss before I'd have us as favourites. I would've thought the inclement weather would favour England's bowlers as well.

Of course, this is assuming there's several hours of clear skies.

A draw (if it happens) is the direct result of slow over rates (refer slow over rate thread) and is the fault of both umpires, aided and abetted by both teams.

90 overs is not that hard umpires.

Make them face up, tell the bowler to hurry up, insist that any of the 25 trips to the crease with drinks, gloves or messages from home are done with speed and are not to hold the game up, perhaps permission first.

The shit standard you set at the start is what we get for the game, series, year.

Every other sport in the world supporters wear the team gear, but not with the baggy green for shame
Who TF cares. It's not a real one.
