This Ranchi pitch is making life hard for Foakes, it's a shocker but it plays into England's hands massively. Like the match that Australia won in Indore last year these shit-tips just level the game up for India's opposition even though their spinners are nowhere near the quality of especially Ashwin and Jadeja and also Kuldeep and Axar.

Really shows how good of an innings that Root played and that’s the method he should always play.
