What a big disappointment the Strikers are, to think some had us playing the Renegades in the final!

Geez mal. Not a good game to watch first up. Of course I enjoyed it, as I was with a heap of mates I don't get to see as much as I like. The ground is absolutely fantastic, even half finished. Footy will be awesome there.

Getting bowled out for 97 is as bad as it gets in 20/20 cricket
Being bowled out for 97 in 18.2 overs chasing 129 is even worse

Dear AS Selectors
I am a loyal supporter of all 3 Adelaide teams in the 20 over 50 over and SS matches
Phillip Hughes is a wonderful aquisition to the state
But if he has to be batting 4 in the 20/20 line up is it a waste of time ?
Phillip is an opener or 1st drop at worst
If he does not bat 1-2-3 he should be watching these games
He made a half ton in Perth as an opener where he belongs
I realise AS cannot have Hales/Klinger/Hughes all opening !
But the batting line up needs balance
There is a player called Callum Ferguson who is a better option[in my opinion] batting at 4 in front Of Phillip Hughes in 20/20 matches

Hughes should not be at 1,2,3,4 or any other position. 50 off 40 is about the best you can get out of him and its just not going to win you 20/20 matches

It wins you plenty of games if you are chasing 129!
Hughes has the
highest career batting average (44.16) in the history of T20 cricket (domestic and international) out of those who have scored at least 1000 runs. Gayle is second with 43.90 and then M Hussey with 40.89.
See
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/283855.html if you don't believe me!
Yes, his strike rate is relatively low, but it is still high enough (117.5) to build a very good score around.

Yet the proposed alternative (Ferg), also has a T20 strike rate of 117 (and an average of 21).
