Oi! Players get deleted as they add their second test bud. Just relax.

Depends on Haddin's finger. With the next Test starting just 3 days after this one it is unlikely Haddin will play in that. Manou has a huge oppourtunity here. He will keep a lot better than Haddin and if he can make a big score he will put a lot of pressure on the selectors.

I would have given just about anything to play 1 Test for Australia.

Too true.
I think these guys have amazing stories - despite only having played one test.
How'd they get there? Why no more? How did it effect them afterwards?

Well, I was a left arm bowler, so I'd still be able to do something ... you notice I covered myself by saying "almost" :)

Spot on. I have a feeling some people regard the "one hit wonders" as failures, but that's a "failure" I could easily deal with. An almost brand new green baggy cap in the showcase would look very nice thank you.

There is a book on this very subject. I got it out from my local library about a year ago but can't remember the author's name or the exact name of the book. I do remember that David Boon wrote the foreword in it.

I'll try and track it down again.

Paul Hibbert's story became sadder until his unforunate passing...

I know this is about one Test wonders specifically, but to digress very briefly into one-dayers, I remember when a number of people were clamouring for Glenn Trimble's inclusion into international cricket. If memory serves, he finished with 0/32 for 4 overs, and a number of those balls were either picnics for the batsmen, or that wide they were nearly impossible to hit. AH may know more about this one?
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Yes, Hibbert's story was very sad. I have a clipping from when he died.

Also - Trimble played two ODIs, one in Perth, one in Adelaide I think.
Son of Sam Trimble, regarded by many of his era as the best Australian cricketer never to play for Australia.
