It's getting Ugly. Why is Bird even playing for the Stars?

The stars put together an all international lineup whilst the other teams have to call up an assortment of second 11 and grade players to field an 11

That run out decision is nearly as laughable as the Strikers' batting performance.

Was shocking wasn't it

In saying that from the view front on I did think the bat may have bounced and in the air when the lights flashed.

The side on view was impossible to tell anything and nothing was even close to been clear enough to give a batsmen out

Lucky it probably won't effect the game.

If it's so scripted wouldnt they allow the Strikers to make 150ish?

Nah, Strikers games are sellouts. Dont need to do anything for them to boost crowd numbers.
From the clippings and highlights ive seen on Foxsports it seems as though there is a big push for the Stars to get bums on seats at the G.
Their side that I saw listed today would push most international sides, they will be hoping for 70,000+ crowds and $$$$$$$$. Dont they have a salary cap or has CA brushed it under the carpet?
Oh and I just saw that runout of Richardson, cant see any reason why that would be given out.
Their playing list looked like a Figjam XI, just need to sign KP and Dan Christian. A lot of very punchable faces in that side

What are our chances of making the final now? Have to win all of our last three games?

RR is in the toilet.

I was also thinking last night along the lines of recent posts. Isn't there a salary cap? Why are Faulkner and Bird playing for the Stars who also have Malinga arguably the best strike bowler in the comp or close to it. McKay couldn't even make their team last night yet he is in the ODI squad.

Meanwhile the Hurricanes look to me like they could use both of those guys. Instead they have Bollinger who could be playing for the Thunder who haven't won a game in two years.

The Stars do lose Maxwell, McKay and Faulkner for the ODIs but still the issue remains IMO.

Accept lower payment in the Big Bash for the potential massive payouts in the Champions League.

Exactly my thoughts - the money is not an issue for them so the motivation is to play in the best BB side and get the perks from that.

I wonder how long until this is raised in the media by someone. All I hear is media people telling us how well the Stars are playing. I think that Stars team could compete with International teams.
