Western Suburbs v Parramatta
2 Day game
Scores day 1 stumps

0/17 DEC. WESTERN SUBURBS
2/140 DEC. PARRAMATTA
1/230 WESTERN SUBURBS

Western suburbs have a lead of 107 runs after day 1

Here is the batting line up and score of the Western Suburbs first innings
0/17 DEC
D Paterson 12 *
I Taylor 3*
J Cook
M Morgan
G Ashmore
C Ridley
MJ Clarke
E Parmakelis
L Gibson
T Islam
A Glendenning
R Keogh

Two declarations , ahem
Western Suburbs to resume batting next week on day 2
Look who was listed to bat at 7 for Western Suburbs on day 1 ....

The NSWCA is investigating the game. Apparantly CA wanted Clarke to bat next week and asked Parramatta if they could bat on week 1 to give Clarke a hit the following week. The Paramatta skipper told them to politely piss off and sent Wests in. Wests declared at 0/17 in their first innings.
A few other district clubs are pretty peeved at the result

The article about this was in todays Advertiser, interesting story. Would be pretty funny if Clarke came out and made single figures after all that f**king around to make sure he got a bat.

Unfortunately I see it as being very arrogant and embarrassing for Clarke that he would allow and be part of such a farce just for him to have a hit

Let me guess, they'll replace him with Glenn Maxwell, and bat him at Three!

Won't be him. Gone for 12 v Queensland this morning.

Marsh, Hughes and Ferguson at the crease in their games. Make a score here and they should be in with a shot.

It will be the Marsh boys. Hughes can only open at Test Level I feel.

Don't rule out Burns either as he used to bat middle order for QLD despite only opening this season.

Yep Ferg has probably blown his chance with bad timing

Probably needed all the stars to align for him to get his chance.

Still has two hundreds this year, I don't think a failure in this match automatically rules him out, though obviously s huge score would have probably sealed it for him
