option 2 bancroft to 3, marsh to open handscomb to 5
option 3 maxwell to 3
option 4 marsh or bancroft at 3 other at opening, bring in agar or zampa or holland (zampa just as a difference with leggies) drop mitch marsh as his bowling just wont cut it there. handscomb back in at 5

They do it at Test games and One Dayers too, in fact the Test match here was the worst I'd seen of it despite it being less family orientated than BBL, its a much better crowd at the BBL and thats despite mid strength being sold at Tests and Full Strength at BBL.

You have two batters playing defensively yet have defensive field placings.

For mine it's up to the fielding side to change what there doing, there in the strong position. For mine England should be attacking and looking to force attacking shots. Best chance of getting a wicket

If all you boundary options are cut off why should you still try and hit boundaries

Thought Root should have declared last night and had 10 overs at the Aussies, then today his field placings have been woeful. Trying to contain and not get wickets

In a sense can see what he is doing, he knows Warner and Smith in a session could take the game out of Englands hand and didn't want that to happen.

After all he is trying to save face, a draw for England would be a win in their eyes
