Shows that they are starting to see him as an important member of the squad rather than a bit part player.

Bad news for Zampa though, because he and maxwell are good enough to get through 10 overs combined on most pitches

Interesting to look at the three that missed out:
Zampa - 2016 ODI leading wicket taker.
Hazelwood - Current #1 test quick.
Khawaja - in reasonable form.

Personally, I don't feel we need 7 bowling options. I'd leave Faulkner out and bring in Uzzie.
If you have 6 bowlers and are unlucky enough to get one going for runs and another injured, Smith/Warner can always fill in a couple of overs.

That said, they probably picked Faulkner to bowl back of a length slower balls forcing Pakistan to hit to the long square boundaries at the gabba in the second half of the innings.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

Yeah I agree that we don't really need both marsh and Faulkner.

Not often you'd see Warner (6 off 16) striking at a slower rate than his partner - or that slow full stop!

Lynn is an impressive looking specimen! Long levers, strong and really puts his hands through the ball.. enjoyed that square drive!

I dont have a clue what his performance has been like recently in the shield but the bloke averages 44 at shield level.

We could do worse than take a batsmen thats in red hot form to India for the tests. He will at very least make a few of the inclose fielders jump around.

Hasn't played Shield cricket for about two years due to injury

But to give you an idea on he goes, he's played 15 less shield games than Head but scored almost as many runs (2700 v 2900)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
